RISE OF SOCIAL MEDIA CREATES NEW COMPLIANCE RISK FOR INTERNATIONAL BUSINESSES

ver the past several years, we have witnessed a rapid rise in the use of social

media throughout a wide range of international business markets. Through ever popular sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, businesses have the ability to reach international audiences within a matter of seconds. Social media provides a new and exciting platform for international businesses to advertise and market to existing and new customer bases worldwide.

However, with the expansion of social media in the business world, there are growing concerns that these channels present new compliance risks. Businesses are beginning to have difficulty effectively monitoring employee activity through individual and/or company accounts, leaving them vulnerable to a wide range of compliance risks.

A recent report was conducted by Proofpoint on the social media pages of Fortune 100 companies. The report found an average of 69 probably violations of US regulatory standards, more than 80 percent affecting financial firms. The report, State of Social Media Infrastructure - Part III, found that the average company in the Fortune 100 had 320 different social media accounts accessed by more than 1,150 employees. Michael Lee, Director of Social Media Solutions at Proofpoint's Nexgate Group, stated, "It is a very new, but more complex communications channel. What makes it great - the frictionless creation of the voice of the company - also poses a danger."

Over the past several years, TWI has expanded its marketing and advertising to include social media, creating and developing company pages on various platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. As we continue to develop our social media presence and global audience, we remain highly focused on presenting compliant, risk-free information regarding our global supply chain solutions.

By providing a consistent and supportive flow of communications throughout the company, international businesses have the ability to mitigate compliance-related risks that could have a negative impact on their image.

O With operations throughout Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa, TWI continues to showcase our commitment to compliance, both internally and externally.

Social media continues to grow as a critical communications platform for a wide range of business areas, including marketing, advertising, and recruiting. It is important for companies to provide timely, informative information on social media and how both company and personal accounts can greatly impact the company's public image. By providing a consistent and supportive flow of communications throughout the company, international businesses have the ability to mitigate compliance-related risks that could have a negative impact on their image.

INCREASED ACTIVITY IN IRAQ DEMANDS SCALABLE AND TRUSTED SUPPLY CHAIN SOLUTIONS

08

o ver the past twelve months, there have been developing security issues throughout Iraq due to the steady rise of ISIS. With violence touching many regions of the country, a wide range of companies have paused or ceased operations. Furthermore, the escalation of violence has led to the recent deployment of US military personnel in support of the Iraqi military. To date, there are more than three thousand US troops in Iraq with hundreds of Department of Defense contractors providing a wide range of support services, including life support, maintenance, catering, and logistics.

Leveraging its extensive regional presence, including a 25,000 square foot warehouse facility in Erbil, global supplier base, and professional supply chain team, TWI is delivering critical, customized supply chain solutions to USG and commercial customers throughout Iraq. As USG and commercial operations continue to expand in Iraq, TWI continues to deliver local, regional, and global procurement and logistics solutions to ensure the delivery of a wide range of commodities, including food, common consumables, fuel, and construction material.

A highlight of its supply chain solutions in Iraq, TWI provides full end-to-end supply chain management services to a major commercial customer performing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and life support services at Balad Air Base. As the base population and activity increases, so too does the requirement for the purchasing and delivery of an extensive list of materials to support those stationed on site. Throughout the significant growth of material demand, TWI has worked tirelessly and diligently to successfully manage the sourcing, purchasing, and distribution of a diverse mix of commodities, including Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (FF&V), Material Handling Equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment.

As activity develops throughout Iraq and the Middle East, TWI is well positioned to provide tailored, adaptable supply chain services to a developing customer base covering the USG, energy, and construction markets. Through TWI's transparent and tested solutions, our customers are able to focus on their core mission.

TWI PARTICIPATES IN CENTCOM MRO SUMMIT AT DLA TROOP SUPPORT

10

T WI recently participated in a Prime Vendor Summit hosted byDLA Troop Support in Philadelphia in early May. The purpose

of the meeting was to discuss the current state of the CENTCOM Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) contract, review contractual requirements, and to discuss ways to drive growth and improve the overall program. DLA Troop Support senior leadership co-chaired the half-day session attended by representatives from each of the three CENTCOM prime vendors and several DLA Troop Support staff members.

The meeting was a great example of the Government and industry working together and exchanging ideas and perspectives on how the program is working well, development opportunities, and aligning to meet the changing customer requirements across the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). A particular area of focus was the U.S. military's increasing activities in the Middle East and how to best position the program to meet anticipated demand for MRO materials.

Meeting participants agreed on the need for a focused marketing approach to identify potential customers, provide them with relevant information about the program, and then ensure both the Government and prime vendors are responsive to their needs and source, procure, and delivery high quality materials in a timely manner and at competitive prices. The group agreed that one way to begin this marketing effort is with a Customer Open House to be held in the Middle East in the coming months. Plans for this event are being developed now to ensure maximum effectiveness.

TWI will continue to remain engaged over the coming weeks and months with DLA Troop Support to maintain momentum and progress on this important Customer Engagement initiative. Leveraging its strategically positioned locations across the globe, TWI will focus its efforts on visits to DLA representatives and potential customers in the CENTCOM AOR.

TWI DELIVERS CUSTOMIZED SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYTICS SOLUTION TO DOD CONTRACTOR

ASupply Chain Services (SCS) offering, we have developed a robust supply chain analytics capability that is available and able to support multiple clients in a wide range of industries. Using specifically developed dashboards in the Business Intelligence tool Qlikview (QV), we have effectively positioned an analytical tool that has been successfully used and deployed within our internal business and transitioned that capability to support a growing external customer base.

contractor with a long list of projects both within and outside the U.S. During the course of regular client related engagements, we learned that its supply chain organization had shrunk in size and had inadquate resources to analyze its past performance or supply chain decision making. This situation was a great opportunity for TWI to position our analytics offering, which our customer was very interested in at the onset.

After analyzing the scope of work, we received data files with historic inventory, purchasing, and supplier performance data over a set time period. These transactions were related to a specific program that the contractor was currently providing support services to the US Government.

This data was run through QV, and the TWI Supply Chain Services team assessed key metrics related to supplier performance, inventory transactions, inventory turnover, price variances, and cost savings opportunities. The observations made were quite substantial, as the opportunities for improvement and efficiency. All of this feedback, to include charts, tables, and a wide range of QV graphics, were consolidated into a report and shared with our customer. Furthermore, TWI conducted an in-person demonstration of the QV software to highlight each phase of the customer's supply chain.

The customer highlighted the engagement delivering significant added value to its operations and how it shed light on challenges or decision making that earlier had not been an area of focus. We offered them several areas for cost improvement, including inventory reductions, supplier consolidation, and straight cost savings.

We are pleased to announce this commercially focused analytics capability as one that provides an added level of sophistication to our overall SCS offering, while delivering increased value to customers across multiple industries. It's a unique example of something that we have done for several years internally with great feedback from the TWI team, which has translated into a commercially viable offering to clients. This enables TWI to provide more robust and integrated supply chain services support and these analytics will remain a key area of our offering to clients for many years to come.

Following the rapid outbreak of Ebola, the US Government (USG) and foreign governments declared their support in the fight against Ebola. Within weeks, the USG began deploying the first of a planned 4,000 troops to provide advisory, security, and support services for health providers throughout Liberia.
