TWIC™ is a tamper proof Smart Card required of all port and terminal operator

employees to gain access to secure port and related facilities. Unescorted visitors

or potentially threatening individuals are immediately denied port access.

readers comply with all specifications for interfacing and processing TWIC card data.

Amano offers three reader classifications on the TSA Initial Capability Evaluation or ICE List with indoor, outdoor and handheld applications. Readers are remotely configurable to support all Maritime Security (MARSEC) modes of operation. MorphoAccess™

MorphoAccess readers provide fingerprint identification for physical access control to meet TWIC requirements. Reader technology increases throughput and reduces false rejection rates. The fully integrated biometric terminals feature fingerprint image enhancement, optic technology and firmware that utilizes the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certified algorithms for template generation and matching.

Outdoor MorphoAccess™

The Outdoor MorphoAccess reader offers all the functionality of the standard MorphoAccess TWIC reader in a rugged outdoor housing. The biometric terminal is completely self-contained and impervious to dust, water, ice and snow with a cold weather option that provides reliable operation in environments down to -40° F.

MorphoCheck™

The MorphoCheck reader offers fast, mobile secure verification of TWIC cards. The durable, lightweight handheld device reads all Federal Information Processing Standards 201 (FIPS) compliant cards, instantly validates the credential and identifies the cardholder through biometric authentication.

TWIC SoftwareTWIC Connect software allows operators to read TWIC card data. The user-friendly Windows™ application lets operators biometrically authenticate the cardholder, automatically read and validate TWIC card data, and check certificates and the TSA Hotlist. The software suite reads, parses and verifies the entire Cardholder Unique Identifier (CHUID) and Federal Agency Smart Credential Number (FASC-N) while meeting current government specifications. Forward compatibility ensures software remains in sync with future enhancements to TWIC requirements.
