SelfprimingScrewPumpwith twoscrews indoublevoluteandhydraulicallybalancedde-sign.Thedrivetorqueistransmittedfromthedoublehelixdrivescrewtothelikewisedou-blehelixidlerscrewviaherringbonegears.
The screws rotate closely meshing but wi-thoutcontactinthespindleboreoftheinter-changeablepumpcasinginsert.Asaresultofthe special profile geometry, sealed cavitiesare formed, which transport the pumped li-quidcontinuouslywithlowshearandwithoutturbulencesfrombothsuctionchambersaxi-allytothedischargechamber.
For optimum strength and low shaft deflec-tionboth,drivescrewandidlerscrewarema-nufacturedfromsinglepiecebarstock.
The patented shape of the Klaus Unionspindleprofilerequires10to20%lesspowerconsumption compared to standard geome-triesofcomparablepumpdesigns.

BearingDrivescrewandidlerscrewarecarriedinsphericalrollerbe-aringsortaperedrollerbearingslocatedoutsidethepumpingchamberondriveendandgearside.Thebearingsarenotincontactwiththepumpedliquidandhence,thepumpsaresuitabletohandlenon-lubricatingandcorrossiveproducts.Abearingoptionwithanintermediatelanternandbearingcoolingisavailableforhightemperatureapplications.Allbearingsareoillubricated.
Shaft SealsDrivescrewandidlerscrewaresealedbyunbalancedorbalanced,singleordoubleacting,maintenance-freemecha-nicalsealsinacc.withDIN24960ondrivesideandgearside.Sealmanufacturer,materialsanddesignareselectedtomatchtheactualoperatingconditions.
