Torque nipples are lighter and stronger than standard brass nipples. They not only

lighten our wheels by over 20g, their wide alloy interface creates a stronger, stiffer

wheel. The torx socket back (instead of a slot for a fl athead screwdriver) makes it

easier to build wheels and the large wrench interface makes it much easier to ten-

sion the spokes. Also, the connection at the spoke hole has a larger pivot range

which reduces the stress on the spoke.

he had a bunch of ideas. Eventually we let him start

designing stuff. The fi rst product was the Trailking hard-

tail which has the shortest rear end of any production

dirt jump frame. His latest creation is the Trailking SS

slopestyle frame. We can’t wait to see what he comes

up with next!

This is Thomas’ prototype, built up and

ready for action. This bike was used for

everything from downhill to dirt jumps.

went into merging 5+ inches of travel, the slack angles required

for high speed riding, and the responsiveness needed for BMX

style tricks like tailwhips and barspins. It all came together to

make this one of the best all-around gravity frames

we’ve ridden. For durability, we went with a single

pivot, all cromoly design that will stand up to even

the harshest abuse. The pivot uses 4 large precision

bearings to keep everything stiff and smooth. If

you run an air shock on the front as well,

the suspension can be easily adjusted

for everything from dirt jumps to

downhill.
