• The K-BLOCK™ positionindicator uses solid-stateinductive proximityswitches, no mechanicalcontacts, to detect thetarget without physicalcontact. A ferrite core andcoil are used to generate alow-energy magnetic field,when a metal target entersthis field, the field isdampened and the target isdetected.

• The sensor consists of twoinductive proximity switchesin a compact, sealedhousing, protectedeffectively against moistureand other environmentalcontaminants. There are nomechanical contacts towear and no contact bouncethat can cause false signals.

• A ‘target puck’, with twometallic screws located 90°apart, is mounted on theactuator or valve shaft. Asthe valve position changes,the sensor detects one orthe other of these screws,providing positive ‘valveopen’ and ‘valve closed’output signals, each with avisual LED indication.

• NEMA 6 (IP67) rated, anideal choice for applicationsinvolving equipment hose-downs.

• The sensor is molded of anengineering resin that ishighly resistant to aliphaticand aromatic hydrocarbons,oils, fats, hydraulic fluidsand fuels.

• The K-BLOCK™ assemblymounts on any actuatorsupplied with a mountingplate in NAMUR or Tycopatterns, resulting in a lowerprofile which is moreresistant to environmentalfactors than switch boxassemblies.
