HAPTIC IN MEDICAL FIELD
Nowadays medical students can use virtual medical training applications, particularly, where it can be used to aid a practitioner to learn and practice a task.
This feedback can then beused to refine the required skills until the operator reaches a target level of
proficiency before commencing training with patients
Example:
SplineGrip is a flexible haptic sculpting tool which senses the articulation and pose of the sculpting hand in eight DOF.
RESEARCH ISSUES
CONSUMES LOT OF
POWER
THE MAJOR DISADVANTAGES
IS PACKS IN SOME NOISE
ADDITIONAL VIBRATIONS CAN ALSO GET A LITTLE BIT UNCOMFORTABLE
