Tzedakah means Righteousnes or Justice
This is more accurate than the common translation - charity
Among Jews giving is seen as right and just as opposed to an act of generosity.
All Must Give!
Tzedakah is not limited to the wealthy individuals but a necessary part of Jewish living regardless of income.
Highest Level: Giving to someone to help them self sustain
Lowest Level: Giving out of pity
