Finding immediate ways to prevent and slow the spread of COVID-19 in homeless communities, and creating plans to mitigate the impact of infection on homeless individuals and families. Connecting people to resources and coordinating community responses to essential needs during the COVID-19 emergency. Established to collaborate with local agency stakeholders regarding 1) consistent communication to the public and our employees, and 2) identify and discuss options to protect our private and public workforces. The Purpose of the Community Public Information Officer (PIO) group is to inform and share individual communications strategies, messaging tracks, and tools to better inform the public. Ensure government finance is ready to adapt to a changing financial climate and changing service needs using all available financial forecasting and planning experts. Established to compile information and best practices to support our local economy in economic recovery and resilience efforts. Review of Great Plates Delivered Program

The workgroup met with the Emergency Operations Center to assess foodvulnerabilities and access to services in El Dorado County.

They found the work in the community by all sectors (Faith, private non-profit, service organizations, local government collaborations, etc) have

been meeting the needs of our vulnerable populations and that El DoradoCoutny at this time does not qualify for the Great Plates Delivered Program.

On Tuesday 5/5, the workgrouppresented to the Board of

Supervisors providing an update oftheir efforts. Click to view a

Funding for Child Care

Choices for Children has nowexhausted all of the $89,601

received from CDE for Essentialworker and at-risk children.

27 families and 47 children werefunded with these resources.

26 families are currently on thewait list.

Health & Safety Supplies

The workgroup distributed handsanitizer to open programs to

support ongoing health and safetypractices, and provided resourcesto support additional cleaning and

safety materials.
