These tripping characteristics are mean values of the spread at 20 °C ambient temperature in a cold state. Tripping time depends on response current. With devices atoperating temperature the tripping time of the overload relay reduces to approx. 25 % of the read off value. Specific characteristics for each individual setting range canbe found in the manual on page 3/6.

Conditions for fulfilling Type “1” coordination (IEC/EN 60947-4-1)
• The stated short-circuit current I q must be safely interrupted.• The starter must not endanger personnel or equipment in the event of
a short-circuit.• The starter does not have to be usable for continued use without repairs
or parts replacements.• Damage to the starter or its components is permissible.
Conditions for fulfilling Type “2” coordination (IEC/EN 60947-4-1)
• The stated short-circuit current I q must be safely interrupted.• The starter must not endanger personnel or equipment in the event of a
short-circuit.• The starter must be suitable for continued use.• No damage may occur to the starter – with the exception of
welding of the contactor contacts – provided they can be easily separated(e.g. with a screwdriver) without any significant deformation.
