UACS MBA program is delivered through the Participant Centered Learning mode developed and mastered by the Harvard Business School. In entails discussion, case study analysis, role plays, individual and team projects and interactive teaching. This is in line with our philosophy that we should not teach merely facts – those will probably change until the student graduates, but develop and expand the skills which matter when managing the business. The latter includes: problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, analytical skills, ability to cope with the challenges of globalization, etc. In addition, we enable the students to develop and practice the holistic approach of managing organizations, both the for-profit or non-for-profit ones.

MBA courses are conducted by foreign and domestic lecturers and experienced practitioners.

The assessment policy of the University is based on the participant learning principle, where learning and assessments are conducted through a combination of case studies and coursework which assess theapplication of knowledge, with less focus on formal examination and learned facts. Some of the courses are based on 100% coursework/home assignments. Students would be informed about the grading structure for each course through the course syllabus that is obligatory delivered to students at the beginning of the program. Grading structure may vary significantly, depending on the course nature.

Program structure The program structure depends on the: i) students choice over the specific program (MBA or MBA with certain concentration); andii) the total number of ECTS credits that a student has earned prior to the enrollment in the program.

In particular, students that have previously earned 240 ECTS (equivalent to 4-years studies) can enroll to a one-year program in general MBA.* However, if they would like to earn a “MBA with concentration In…” degree, they need to take two additional courses in the specific concentration. Additional courses are charged with a special discount.

On the other hand, students that have previously earned 180 ECTS (equivalent to 3-years studies) can enroll only to the two-year program that is MBA with certain concentration. Those students would undertake two years of study, of which one in general MBA courses and one in specific courses for the chosen concentration.

Assessment and Program structure

*The program can last two to three semesters, depending on the student's availability for courses and course work.
