1. Viewing Grades
Grades are an official recording of marks obtained by a student. There are two
types of grades to view, Mid Term and Official grades.
1.1 Viewing Mid-term Grade
Is a mark obtained by a student based on assessments written/taken
within Semester1, Semester2 and Full year courses? The midterm grade
is used for early identification of student at risk. Students can view the
marks by running a progress report on the Student Self Service.
Path: Student Center>My Academics
Please complete the following task(s)
1. Click the Drop down listbox
2. Select “Grades” from drop down list
4. Click Go

5. Click the Mid-term Grades tab
An EXA grade will be displayed to a student that has been excused on
assessments.
The View Mid Term Course
Grade Average hyperlink
displays a class average for
the Mid Term grade

1.2. Viewing Official Grade
Path: Main Menu > Self Service >Advisor Center> My Advisees >
Student Center Tab
Please complete the following task(s)
1. Select Grades in the Other Academic dropdown listbox
2. Click GO button to proceed
To view grades for the previous year(s) you will have to click on the
button and select term you wish to view.
3. Click button to select a different term
4. Select a Checkbox next to a year to view grades
5. Click Continue button

You have now succeeded to view your results in PeopleSoft Campus
Solutions 9.0 for the term in which you have enrolled at University of Cape
Town.
1.3 Requesting a progress report
The Progress report is a report that will show assessments written in
semester1, Semester2 and for Full year courses.
Please complete the following task(s)
1. Click Progress Report hyperlink
2. Select Term

3. Click Email button
The progress report will be sent to student’s email address.
2. Viewing and printing an Unofficial Transcript
Path:StudentCenter>Academics
Click the EMAIL button to send Progress Report to your email address.

Please complete the following task(s)
1. Click the Drop down listbox
2. Select “Transcript: View Unofficial” from drop down list
3. Click Go

4. Click the Report Type drop
down list.
5. Select the Unofficial Transcript
item.

Please note there are several ways of printing a transcript as listed below:
In order to print the Unofficial Transcript using Internet Explorer, you
must select Page Setup and Untick the Shrink to Fit check box before
printing the document.
If you are using Mozilla browser. You must Click Ctrl + A to
highlight the whole page as shown in the transcript page. You
will then click on File on Menu Bar and select Print Preview .
On the Print Preview screen you will select As selected on
screen.
You have accessed your unofficial transcript and printed it in PeopleSoft
Campus Solutions 9.0

3. Viewing results without a password using public access
Path: University of Cape Town Home at www.uct.ac.za
Please complete the following task(s)
1. Click the CURRENT STUDENTS tab
2. Highlight and click the Undergraduates edit field on the menu
3. Click the Online Services and Resources field.
4. Click the Access course results link

You will be required to enter the following fields to successfully search for
Student Information such as Grade Enquiry or Application Status:
Campus ID or
Name, Surname and Date of Birth
5. Enter "FLXNUR001" into the edit field
6. Select the type of enquiry you want e.g. Grade Enquiry or Application
Status in the Type of Enquiry drop down list
7. Click the button
Click the option button to choose “Term”
Click the continue button

To view grades for previous academic years, click the change term
button, select the term and click the continue button .
Click the Sign Out hyperlink to logout.
