Welcome, Mrs Vasanthi Tadepalli !
Udbhav School warmly welcomes Mrs Vasanthi Tadepalli as the new Head Mistress.
Mrs.Vasanthi joins us with 25 years of experience in reputed schools of India – St. Teresa
Secondary Schools, Sophia Convent School, St Joseph College, Delhi Public School, Nasr
School etc.
She has taken charge on 1st June 2017

Glimpses of 2016
100% pass with good results in Class X board exams conducted by Telangana State Board of
Secondary Education
Our Student Ma. Durga Prasad would be participating in U-16 Optimist Class world at the World
Sailing Championships in Thailand. The 15-year-old Udbhav Telangana sailor will compete
against 280 sailors from 62 countries in a bid to sail away with top honours.
'Umeed 1000k Cyclothon 2016 was the first successful fund raising event in the history of our
trust - Raised Rs. 81 lacs
Annual expenditure increased by 61% from Rs. 70 lacs to Rs. 115 lacs per annum in a bid to
offer quality education through use of IT.
Donations from Corporate CSR increased by 51%

Make Udbhav, a model school to create another 16 schools in Telangana and
Andhra Pradesh
Impart holistic education to 10,000 under privileged children in Telangana and

Students to Teacher Ratio
As per the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009;
students to teacher ratio in primary classes should be 30:1 and upper classes
should be 35:1
Our students to teacher ratio is significantly better for the upper classes:
Primary 30:1
Upper 28: 1
78% of the total students belong to monthly income ranging between Rs. 3000 and Rs.7000. Out of which:
• The girl students 106 out of 134 (79.1%) belong to income Less than Rs.7000/-
• 78 out of 103 (75.7%) boys belonged to this level of income
However families whose income between Rs.9000 to Rs.12,500 are just 15 or 6% of the total

marketing space for over two decades. Worked in organizations
like rediff.com, Nokia and Microsoft.
Passionate about supporting social cause especially in the areas
of education and healthcare.
UMEED1000k Cyclothon concept designer, initiator & custodian to
combine his passion for cycling and social cause
Active Rotarian and also runs Sneh Foundation which focuses on
geriatric care
Raised over 2 Crore INR in the last two years to support various
cause by organizing and participating in various social events
Keen tennis player with love to travel and indulge in photography

Students to teacher ratio to be 20:1
Improve delivery of content with the aid of technology viz., smart class rooms - budgeted Rs.
25 lacs in 2017 towards computers, LCD projectors, LAN, CCTV
'Partnering with Next Education for digital delivery of syllabus for improving quality of teaching
More emphasis on coaching the VIII – X students on core subjects Maths, Science and English.
Special classes on Saturdays. Coromandel will continue to support in volunteering their
employees time for special classes on Saturdays to teach Maths, Science and English. So
follows RBL with their strategic approach to mould children to future leaders.
Sports – Encourage more students to learn Sailing and other extra curricular activities
Stabilize the rental infrastructure of School
Raise Rs.1 – 1.5 Crore in 2017
Projected Cost per child would be Rs.18000/- per year

Coromandel International Limited goes beyond being a cheque providing information
Volunteers contribute two hours every Saturday to mentor the Class- X students on a
regular basis after identifying that the Class-X students were facing difficulties in scoring
Physics and Maths
Volunteers took upon themselves the task of teaching and mentoring the students in
coordination with the school teachers
Session plans were devised in coordination with the subject teachers and the difficult
topics identified
The children were divided into smaller groups and the volunteers were given a batch of six
students each to mentor on a regular basis
The students looked up to the volunteers as friend/coach/mentor/guide and looked
forward to the sessions every Saturday
Volunteering in Udbhav School is an activity mutually beneficial to both Coromandel and
Udbhav School

One of the CSR activities of RBL Bank Ltd is promoting education.
RBL Bank Ltd was the second largest fund contributor for Udbhav School in the year 2016-17
Volunteering by Employees: RBL Bank with the strong belief that volunteering is a great way
to mobilize its employees for social causes in the communities in which it operates. As part
of its employee volunteering initiatives, 3,157 RBL Volunteers contributed 13400 volunteering
hours in FY 16-17
RBL Bank launched Umeed 1000 K Cyclothon as a CSR initiative for the first time in year 2014
to raise awareness and funds for free surgeries to kids affected by eye cancer
(Retinoblastoma).
