Objective
“A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and
transform." In the present time, women entrepreneurs have become a nascent
community across the globe. WES 2019 is one such platform which is giving to
the women to come forward, to learn, to develop and to connect with the
prominent female entrepreneurs and industry experts for building strength. On
an individual level, you’re able to change and become whatever you want,
growing and developing into the life that you choose.
Taking inspiration from our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shree
Narendra Modi Ji, and his vision to economically empower the Indian
women, the Women Entrepreneurship Submit 2019 was held on 08th and 9th
March 2019 at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, 15, Janpath Road, New
Delhi.
Aim of the Submit
Giving a boost to the confidence level.
Equipping women with a Go-Getter stance.
Accelerate business matching programs to place women
entrepreneurs in key industries.
Promote collaborations between women-owned businesses and
corporate buyers to ensure new products enjoy unimpeded access to
targeted markets.
Develop creative and appropriate financing vehicles that can provide a
broader array of financing options to women entrepreneurs.
Accentuates on women entrepreneurs both successful and the
aspirants.
WES intends to make society affluent & secure through enterprises by
the women.
The Summit consists of plethora of activities and many speeches which
create awareness among the gathered crowd. It is the need of the hour to
“Leave no moment behind” and “Foster Women Entrepreneurs to be
economically self-Dependent.”
WES- 2k19 DAY 1(8TH March)
Inauguration
Dr. Arun Kumar Panda, Secretary of Ministry of Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises was the chief guest. Social enterprises across the country
had registered on the web site of Udyam Sakhi. More than 1250 delegates &
visitors attended the event and about 50 entrepreneurs have exhibit different
types of (specially women’s related) products in Trade Fair and the total no. of
stalls are 50.
The summery of key takeaways are given below-
Inauguration of Exhibition/ Trade Fair by Hon’ble Chief Guest. They had an effective infarction with all the exhibitors in trade fair and visitors around the exhibition hall.
Lighting of Lamp for officially starting of the programme by Hon’ble Chief Guest, Hon’ble Guest of Honour Dr. H. Purshotham, (CMD NRDC, Govt. of India), Dr. O P Mehta, (Director, O/o DC-MSME, Ministry of MSME), Mr. Ramawatar Singh (Asstt. Director, Incharge, Br. MSME-DI, Connaught Circus, New Delhi), Dr. Vasantha Lakshmi Ravikumar (Founder Chairperson VLCT, WEA India & Research Center) with other dignities present on the dice. And Hon’ble Chief Guest and Hon’ble Guest
of Honor were honored with respect of shawl and memento. Made 2min (silence maintained) mourn Ceremony in the memory of
Pulwama Amar Jawans.

Welcome and Introductory remarks on “The Women Entrepreneur Summit 2019” by Dr. O P Mehta, Director, O/o DC-MSME, Ministry of MSME. He enlightens the vision and spoke few words while highlighting a great celebrity and introduced the MSME Scheme.
Key Note Speech (briefing and motive about the programme) by Dr.
Vasantha Lakshmi Ravikumar (Founder Chairperson VLCT, WEA India & Research Center) She Launched the dream project ITI for BETI by Hon’ble Chief Guest and clear the theme of the project for women that helps to educate the girls and how they can utilized IT for their Security, Development & Income generation activity.
Dr. Nandini Azad, Governing Board Member-RMK, Ministry of WCD
high- lighten her 4 decades in the field of women entrepreneurs that helped 6 Lacs workers and provide micro loan to the poor families & aware the E-Marketing portal and their benefits to the Audience and shared the whole concept of women’s day.
Dr. Nalini Gangadharan, founder & Chair person CAP Foundation shared her views on educational rights of women’s. She also talked about curse of female foeticide and its consequences.
The summery of key takeaways are given below- Dr. Neeta Mishra, Social Worker and Ex-Member MGIRI had spread light
on Women fly not with the wings but with the dreams. This was an energetic and motivated session.
Key note address by Hon’ble Guest of Honor. He spoke few words while highlighting a great celebrity and also focused on importance and strength of women in human life.
(IWD)International Women’s Day Celebrations followed by Felicitation of
Successful Women Entrepreneurs by Hon’ble Chief Guest and Hon’ble
Guest of Honor.
Key note address by Hon’ble Chief Guest. He focused on importance of MSME Udyog Aadhar Registration for women entrepreneurs and also talks about various benefits and schemes of MSME in direction of encouraging Women Entrepreneurship.
After this there was an entertaining play by JDM Students and the theme
was “Rag Pickers”.
National Seminar/ Workshop on Innovation and Entrepreneurships
Mr. Kaushlendra Kumar, Manager at SIDBI and Ministry of
MSME, New Delhi had demonstrated the gathering about government scheme/awareness program for Women Empowerment (Financial Assistant) through SIDBI. This was an interesting and interactive session.
Dr. Komal Vashistha from “Dawa Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” shard
her views on the vision of healthy India. Mr. N G Laxmi Naraina, Chief Business Development Officer,
NRDC started the session on Innovation, Technology, Funding and Entrepreneurship Hand Holding with NRDC. He also introduced about NRDC and schemes of NRDC in field of encouraging entrepreneurship.

Mohd. Akram Ali, Chairman India Bunkar Foundation motivated and pleased the audience with his poetry “Mahilao ka Samman Badana he Sathiyo”
After this Ms Doli Bhasim started her session on Innovation. She talks about how innovation is a very important ingredient for women entrepreneurs. And how do we really bring it into the business.
Mr. Sunny Garg and Ms. Shefali Garg shred their success story as how they start as entrepreneur with MSME and how they have been able to reach those heights as they act today.
WES- 2k19 DAY 2 (9TH March)
National Seminar/ Workshop on Innovation and Entrepreneurships
Very next day on 9th march session started with Hot Flaming
discussion by the Speaker Mr. Sunny Ahlawat Chopra, (Founder Yourest), Professor Ms. Neelam Saxena, (Faculty at Amity) and Dr. Gauri Srivastava from Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Smriti Sansthan started fire chat. The Panel focused on - o Uncover some of the challenges and identify potential ways
to combat heart issues. o Opportunities in Edu teach startups. o Challenges in entrepreneurship. o Women in Technology sector.
It was going to be an incredible and knowledgeable session.
After this Dr. Gauri Srivastava from Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Smriti Sansthan shared his talk on automation & Waste Management. She talks about recycling of waste and the role of women in keeping the country clean.
Post that Mrs. Sunita Mishra from Agro Plant, Uttar Pradesh
shared her success story as how she start as entrepreneur with MSME and how she have been able to reach those heights as she act today.

Post that MS. Reema from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh shared her success story as how she start as entrepreneur with MSME and how she have been able to reach those heights as she act today.
After this Mr. Umesh Kanaujia, President, MSME Forum of India shared his talk on women entrepreneurship and role of MSME forum of India in encouraging women entrepreneurship in various districts in India.
Ms. Manpreet Kaur, Motivational coach takes a Mentor session on International Networking (Connecting in a meaningful way). In this session, she provided Innovative strategies for forming strong relationships—the genuine, mutually beneficial, long-lasting, and Hand Holding with clients.
National Seminar/ Workshop on Innovation and Entrepreneurships
Interactive Session on IPR for Start UPs in the Real World taken by Ms. Prashrita Kaushal, (IPR Analyst, NRDC) and Ms. Fatema Motiwala, (IPR Analyst, MRDC). They talks about Importance and usefulness of Intellectual Properties Rights (Patent, Copyright, Trade Mark etc.) in business specially for start ups.
Post that Mrs. Prathibha Kumar from IPSA and trainer in Tihar Jail
shared her success story as how she start her journey and how she have been able to reach those heights as she act today.
Post that Ms. Tarini Ross, Intern from Humanitarian Aid
International shared the success story of their organization with light on one of their leading project for Pakistani-Hindu refugee women.
Post that Ms. Shalini, Director Pahel News shared her success
story as how she start her journey and how she have been able to reach those heights as she act today.

After that Chief Guest Shri. Ram Mohan Mishra Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, M/o Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India were arrived and honored with respect of shawl and momentous by Mr. Ramawatar Singh (Asstt. Director, Incharge, Br. MSME-DI), Dr. Vasantha Lakshmi Ravikumar (Founder Chairperson VLCT, WEA India & Research Center). He spoke few words while highlighting a great celebrity and spread information about various MSMEs schemes in the direction of encouraging women entrepreneurship and Udhyam Sakhi Portal.
Post that Dr. Sunita Garg shared her talk on Environment
protection and entrepreneurship prospects and role of women’s in Home Gardening.
Post that Ms. Jyoti Chauhan (IPR Facilitator, NRDC) shared her talk about protection of Intellectual Properties Rights and scheme of government for startups (Startups Intellectual Properties Rights protection).

Marketing and Foreign Brand Building specially for Women
Entrepreneurs started by Ms. Anu Chadda, and Mr.
Madanlal. They shared their talk on digital marketing,
components of digital economy, importance and
components of Foreign Brand Building. It was going to be an
incredible and knowledgeable session. People were asking
many questions to enhance their knowledge related with
the same.
Closing Ceremony and Vote of Thanks
All the dignities presented on the dice including all the exhibitors who participated in Trade Fair, all the students who participated in two days seminar and all staff of Br. MSME-DI, Connaught Place were appreciated with respect of Mementoes and Certificates for their efforts, co-ordination and support for witnessed it as a memorable and successful event.
