My case was highlighted in the book Weird Virginia, available at Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble. This sighting was witnessed by me.

• Bledsoe Sr. did not submit a report to Mufon until about a year later. Sightings took place in January 8, 2007

• This case originally was assigned to North Carolina’s Mufon FI Steve McGee of which he had to step down due to important family obligations shortly after his first on-site visit in January 24, 2008

• February 23, 2008: Norman Gagnon was then dispatched by MUFON International Director James Carrion to assist the North Carolina chapter with this close encounter case in Fayetteville as a newly appointed national unit - STAR Field Investigator. At this time there were no “active” director in the NC state

• Gagnon collected trace evidence as tree bark & lichen along with soil/grass samples from a circular burnt grass impression from Bledsoe’s backyard along with photos, visual surveys and environmental readings at Cape Fear River

• After Gagnon’s first on-site analysis, he discovered that the factors of these close encounters revealed crucial elements that elevated this case to a CS4 alien abduction, of which Gagnon immediately conveyed back to HQ via an email dated April 15, 2008

• The discovery of this abduction made headlines within the ufology collective that also attracted the attention from Hollywood. This finding revitalized the North Carolina chapter as well, that of which inspired S. McGee’s return along with a newly NC Director Richard Lang that promptly stepped in to assume control. At this point, Gagnon was quietly and incrementally driven aside from this investigation.

• Creative Differences Production of Studio City, CA, took interests in this abduction case that initiated a 3 part mini-series documentary ‘UFO Over Earth’ on Discovery Channel. Gagnon took part of the first episode titled ‘The Fayetteville Incident’ filmed in June of 2008 but unfortunately 90% of his video footage was edited out.

• Gagnon still has all of his original field notes, photos, email correspondences, book-keeping and related paperwork pertaining to the Bledsoe case.
