Rigid Casting Frame
Using the most advanced FEM technology , an extremely rigid casting has been designed.
The machine is composed by 3 separate casting:
Machine bed, X axis column and Spindle head.

Ball screws
The high precise & rigid 50mm ballscrews on 3 axis driven by powerful AC servo motors, directly coupled, provide the utmost results in high speed cutting and the very high accuracy and best finishing quality.
Roller Guideways
German high rigid and heavy duty roller type linear motion guideways on 3 axis, provide low starting inertia, low friction and high acceleration rates and optimize machine response in high speed cutting .

Linear guides are positioned on different planes to grant best rigidity

Ladder bed
The one piece casting ladder bed has been designed to increase column resistance and rigidity.
The fully automatic 0.001 degrees indexing from vertical to horizontal positions by torque motor technology, gives the operator all the flexibility for multi-sided machining without re-setting the workpiece.
Easy manifacture of complex components with a single set-up, 5 sides machining without additional fixture, 5 axis machining in combination of the rotary table.
B Innovative Swivel Milling Head
The latest technology torque motor manages the B axis continuos swivel milling head and garantees maximum dynamic and linearity: thanks to the absence of traditional mechanical kinematics parts, it results much higher performance on finishing surface. The direct reading system with a high precision angular encoder, grants maximum precision and reliability.

Standard 1000mm x 800mm dimensions with 1500kg max load driven by AC Servomotor, can be indexed 0.001’ by a high precision worm gear and a high precision rotary encoder.

Rigid casting frame
Using the most advanced Computer Aided Design and Finite Element Methos analysis programs, an extremely rigid casting has been realized.
Ball Screws
High precise and rigid X/Y/Z Ø 55/55/63 mm ballscrews driven by powerfull AC servomotors are directly coupled to provide the utmost response and the best accuracy and quality in finishing.
High speed milling
The extreme rigidity and precision of the machine allow high speed milling machining .
The Fidia CNC and Fidia Digital provide the best milling results on the machine tool, optimizing speed accuray and best quality surface, by using advanced feed and acceleration smooth dynamics algorithms, thus preserving the mechanics and the kinematics of the machine.

FIDIA C20 - Standard Software for High-Speed cutting and 5-axes Management
• Dynamic LOOK-AHEAD with tool path advanced control • ACTIVE-TUNING and ACTIVE-DAMPING algorithms for better precision, surface
quality and time execution• Up to 10 G set of parameters adapted to different milling conditions (roughing,
semi-finishing, finishing, rest-mill).• Acceleration variations management by means of the JERK-CONTROL algorithm• RTCP and VIRTUAL QUILL management• Interface with HMS (Head Measuring System) optional device for 5 axis heads
and roto-tilting tables measuring and qualification. The HMS allows the automatic calibration of rotary axis . Equipped with 3 sensors connected to the CNC, the HMS system is managed by a specific measurement software. By processing incoming data in real time, the software is able to check and correct geometric error, positioning accuracy and the RTCP parameters for the heads and tables.
