UHMW-PE: STRONGER, LIGHTER & COST-EFFECTIVE

Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) Polyethylene is quite

often referred to as the world's toughest polymer.

UHMWPE is synthesized from monomers of ethylene, which

react together in the presence of a catalyst to form ultra-high-

molecular-weight polyethylene.

UHMW-PE: ULTRA HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE

UHMW Polymers have a molecular weight average 10 times (up to 9,000,000 Daltons) that of

conventional HDPE. This extremely high molecular weight and long chain conformation give the

UHMW-PE its properties.

UHMW-PE is an extremely tough and abrasion resistant thermoplastic that is used for applications

that require durability and/or abrasive wear resistance.
