for protection of public health, welfare and the environment, and

the availability of amounts from the Fund to reaponC to other aitea.

If the State requests CERCLA funding for remedial design and

implementation, EPA will evaluate the request againat available

rund 1110niea, and determine the appropriate extent of remedy to be

funded. Award of this Cooperative Agreement does not commit EPA

to future funding for reaponae actions at the site.

All activities conducted under thia Cooperative .Agreement shall be11.

conaiatent with the revised National Contingency Plan (NCP),

40 CPR 300, dated July 16, 1982 (47 Federal Reqbter 31180). Reaedial

alternative• developed aa part of the rea~edlai lnveatigation and

feaaibility atudy will be identified, evaluated, and ultiaately

categorhed aa initial reaedial, aource control, or off-aite aeaaurea

baaed upon the factora eatabliahed in aection 300.68(e) of the NCP.

the State ahall require conpliance with Federal health and aafety

contracta.
