In July, Nikken welcomed Peter Klenner, a Platinum Consultant from Austria, into the Nikken Presidents Club. Peter, who is full of energy and enthusiasm, worked extremely hard in his quest to be part of this prestigious club.
Thirteen years ago, he was working in a top management job, but found himself constantly stressed and with no time to spare, until he
discovered the Nikken opportunity. Being not just very impressed with the Nikken products, but also with the business opportunity, Peter decided to join Nikken as a Consultant. After three and a half years of running his Nikken business part time, he took the decision to make it his full time occupation. Taking one step at a time, he built up a strong business with a good customer base and great business partners. He now has more energy, and more time for his friends and family, but also time for his beloved hobbies. Peter has great interest in sailing; he is learning to play the guitar and has also started to learn Spanish.

In November Nikken hosted an exclusive two day luxury retreat to recognise our President Club members. The Presidents Club also welcomed Catherine Guépratte in August, a French Platinum Consultant for over thirteen years. Catherine studied kinesiology and acquired a great approach to wellbeing and a wealth of knowledge in naturopathy, a natural way to manage stress.
Two weeks after joining as a Nikken Consultant, Catherine attended a HBM Training and came out of it with a very clear idea of what Nikken represents: a philosophy based on the five pillars of health, a great opportunity no one should miss. Thanks to the support from Jean-Pierre & Régine Desroses, Jean-Marie Gilbert and Marie Lavigne, who started promoting the Nikken philosophy all around her, Catherine sponsored 25 new Consultants in just one month! Catherine decided to focus on one pillar that was close to her heart: healthy family. It is for her family that she works so hard, in order to give her husband, children and grandchildren a healthier lifestyle and to allow them to make their dreams come true.

“Since 1992 I have worked as an independent physiotherapist, it was a strong desire of mine to support people with a holistic approach. With this in mind, I personally observed the double burden of having a family, having your own business as well as having ill parents that needed my help and attention. My own stress symptoms increased steady and I wasn’t happy with my situation.
I had trouble sleeping, frequent headaches and felt overall, just exhausted. Through a staff member I was introduced to the Nikken products eight years ago and purchased my complete Wellness Home. After just a short period of time, I had striking personal experiences. Absolute regeneration of my energy as well as improved sleep quality!
For many years I recommended the Nikken products and the Nikken opportunity to staff members, customers, family and friends as well as any other people that were open to it. I have also visited many Nikken Trainings over the past years, the HBM Training is my personal favourite and “must do”. The strength, power and influence of this personal development training can’t be compared to any other training out there. The Silver and Gold Training sessions are also a great ways of
meeting new Nikken consultants, gaining valuable insights and feedback as well as providing a great opportunity to develop yourself, your group and your business as a whole.
For me personally, Nikken has become my way of life, my own journey.Nikken has so much to offer.
The ingenious products to strengthen the body’s energy, the possibility of personal development and the chance to make your life autonomously self-determined, financially and in terms of time.
Since January 2013 I have only been working in my physiotherapy business as a business owner, not as a hard working therapist. I have decided to create my own new space to build a global network of Nikken partners and customers. Thus, the goal for a new rank, a bigger team and an income increase was very close and in reach!
In January 2013 I also visited the Nikken Headquarters in Irvine, California and was part of the Orlando Convention. Shortly after my amazing experiences in the USA, I was invited to the London Anthony Robbins seminar. All these impressions, the discovery of the size of the Nikken Company as well as speaking with many successful Consultants in the USA gave me the drive to become the best there is.
At the Anthony Robbins Seminar I learned about who I am and that I am responsible for my own actions. I also learned to actively focus my mind exclusively towards the desired result and to bring
myself physically, mentally and emotionally in a top condition. All of this will help me to grow, with significantly better results over the years to come.
In addition to all the great Nikken support, great products, opportunities and trainings, I have a wonderful team with whomit is a pleasure to really “work”. With 11 Nikken partners I visited the GO PRO WEEKEND in August with Royal Ambassador Wolfgang Sonnenburg.
Consequently we have been together since and worked towards a common goal. The goal was to create an atmosphere and a strong belief to achieve a new rank, my Platinum Rank. I asked the team for their support and commitment in order for me to achieve Platinum Rank in September 2013.
The month of September was a very valuable experience for me. I was able to build my business and my personal goal with 100% trust of my team.

In the end, all set goals were achieved by all partners. Everyone had the distinct feeling of being a part of something great, my goal, and it brought us even closer together. My gratefulness and a heartfelt thank you goes to my dream team, my
upline, my husband and children, who are all very understanding of my active engagement with Nikken and supported me throughout this time! However, the journey will never stop.
The upcoming top goals are set and my team and I will work with good synergy and clear agreements to our future successes.”

My goals for next year are: I want to be a member of the prestigious Nikken President’s Club in July 2014, and to have achieved the Diamond Rank with three new Platinum partners by December 2014!

The feedback Nikken has received has been overwhelming. This is truly a great way to work together as a team, learn new skills and build strong relationships. We have gathered some hints and tips for you that you might find useful when planning your Business 21 Club. Preparation is key. Make sure you update your contact list regularly and plan your club in advance.
Always invite your contacts in advance of the Club starting so that you have presentations booked up in advance of the 30 day period. A great way to do this is to attend a Nikken Now Session with your team or to get your upline involved in supporting you with making the contacts; people always want to be part of a challenge. Make sure that you book up more than 21 presentations as you will always experience that some people are unable to attend at the last minute.
Do your presentations within the first two weeks of the Club to have time for the important follow-ups, to finalise new sign-ups and orders.
So, what are you waiting for? Take on the challenge and get going on preparing for your own Business 21 Club. Not only does it increase your volumes and make rank advancement easier. It gives both A and B a great financial reward of £175/€200/650 PLN/ 325 лв! It is also a lot of fun and a great way to learn more and increase your skills. Achieving Senior is now easier!
Reverting back to pre-July, 2012 rules, a Direct must do a minimum 1,500PGV in one calendar month of which a minimum of 500 Points has to be Personal Volume, or 500PV in one month and 1,500PGV in a future month, remembering their personal volume requirements of 100PV to make this volume count.
We hope that this change will benefit you, as you continue to build your Nikken business!
The Senior rank requirements have changed making going Senior even easier. We wanted to remove any perceived barriers for reaching new ranks and to get earnings in the hands of new people faster.

Make a difference with the
Polar Bear Club
The Polar Bear Club is a really important element in our philosophy of Humans Being More and the 5 Pillars of Health. A healthy society is important and is one of our 5 Pillars, the Polar Bear Club is a great way to achieve balance in this pillar and to give back and contribute for the good of our societies and the world in which we live.
We have already seen some wonderful projects and accomplishments by our Nikken consultants where they have taken the decision to give back in service to society. The feedback and experiences of these Consultants from all over Europe is inspiring, seeing how they enjoy working in the environment, giving this service and making the world a better place truly is infectious.
We are very grateful to those consultants that willingly sacrifice their time and talents for the greater good of others around them. This truly is the spirit and heart of Nikken.
The Polar Bear Club is designed to help the environment and our societies and anyone can participate. To get started all you need to do is to find a worthwhile cause and fill in an application form – it’s easy!

Our project was based on the fauna and flora theme with people who felt directly concerned but never had the chance to put their ideas into practice before.
We spent two afternoons picking up rubbish and cleaned two beautiful islands called l’île aux oiseaux (Birds’ Island) and l’île du pêcheur (Fisherman’s Island). Everybody participated in this very eco-friendly and respectable activity.
I gave each member a “citizen of the sea” passport to thank and encourage them to continue in their efforts.
I have been going to the Red Sea to clean up for 11 years and this is very fruitful. Six years ago, I was with a young man on the boat who saw me doing this and helped me out at the time. This year, he came back to help us. His name is Shaaban. There is an increasing awareness from everybody in the group about the necessity of our activity; this led the group to be more united than ever. The project was completed with a great sense of joy and satisfaction!
I am already planning my big project for next year- which is to clean one of the other islands where one half is clean and the other half littered with rubbish. My aim is to ensure that each half of the island is as beautiful as the other. The entire group want to come back next year to take on the new project, which is amazing!
This is all a result of one man; Mr Masuda, Nikken’s founder who had a vision of total wellbeing. I encourage everybody to do their own Polar Bear Club, our planet really needs it.

Considering that sleep is the single biggest activity undertaken by every human being on the planet it is remarkable that we find ourselves misunderstanding its essential function in our wellbeing and happiness. Here are some important myth busters on the way we think about sleep.

MYTH 1: I can catch up on lost sleep. Most adults need between seven and nine hours of sleep a night. But this isn’t simply for rest and rejuvenation.
Sleep is also designed to balance the timely function of our organs, process and file our memories and information collected throughout the day and assist in managing our emotions. If we accumulate a large amount of lost sleep we cannot get it back somehow. And there is a consequence.
Sleep deprivation can result in obesity, high blood pressure, negative mood behaviour, bad choices and judgement, decreased productivity and health and safety issues. In fact, according to the Harvard Medical School, 2013, sleep deprivation cost USA companies $63.2 billion in lost productivity.
Tip: Make a commitment to ensure you get a minimum of seven hours of restful sleep each night. Doing this will increase your chances of wellbeing, physical health and mental clarity. It can even help you perform better at work!

MYTH 3: When I’m Sleeping my brain is resting. Again, not true. In fact it is quite the opposite. Studies have shown that sleep plays an important role in learning generalised skills and in stabilising and protecting memory function. Test’s in Chicago compared performance after a morning of training resulted in an improvement in performance of 8%. However after 12 waking hours, the improvement dropped to 4%. After a night’s sleep there was an increase in performance by 10%. (Study conducted by the University of Chicago, 2008).
Tip: When learning new skills, be sure to follow the day with a good night’s rest. Doing so will help your brain to retain and recall the information and skills learned in the future.

I accepted the challenge with enthusiasm, and since then I have successfully completed over 200 Humans Being More Trainings all over Europe, Turkey and Israel, I have learned so much from every single one of them. In the meantime, I got married, gave birth to two marvellous children (a girl and a boy), travelled the world, and defeated breast cancer! Being a trainer for me is not a job, it’s a true passion.

MÅRTEN BOSTRÖMWORLD CHAMPION IN ORIENTEERING 2013Mårten Boström was born and raised in Kirkkonummi, just outside of Helsinki, Finland. Whilst growing up, his favourite activity was spending time in the vast forests of Finland, and therefore becoming an orienteer was a natural step for him.
Boström represented Finland in the Orienteering World Championships as a young athlete in 2004-2007 before switching to long-distance running and spending a few years in Arizona enjoying his athletic career in a new environment. The first Nikken product Mårten came in contact with was the MagBoy® and Magstrides in 2004. Mårten has used many Nikken products over the years recommended by his masseur Juhani Kärkkäinen, an independent Nikken Consultant. Last year Mårten acquired a Nikken sleep system and started to use Nikken OsteoDenx® and CalDenx® during recovery, after a double heel bone surgery.
In July 2013 Mårten achieved Gold in the Sprint distance at the World Orienteering Championships in Vuokatti, Finland. Achieving ones dreams is a big thing, during his journey to becoming the best orienteer in the world Mårten has visited 70 countries worldwide and can now enjoy the sport as a full-time athlete. Thanks to his versatile athletic background and his network of friends worldwide, we are very pleased to welcome him as a fantastic promoter of the Nikken business and products.

In 2008, Mr Watanabe founded the Toshizo Watanabe Foundation. Under the Foundation, The Toshizo Watanabe International Scholarship Programme was created to offer the gift of education.
The Programme will offer financial assistance in the furtherance of education to the children of Nikken Independent Consultants, who are a citizen of a country where Nikken currently operates. This award will allow these individuals to pursue academic goals at the collegiate and post-graduate levels in the United States. Mr Watanabe began his academic studies in 1968 at Keio University in Tokyo, where he benefited from a scholarship administered by the government of Japan on behalf of students from single-parent backgrounds. Mr Watanabe was eligible as a result of his father having succumbed to a disease contracted during the Second World War.In 1971, Mr Watanabe received additional financial aid to study abroad, from Mr Konosuke Matsushita, the founder of electronics manufacturer, Panasonic. Concurrently, Mr Watanabe had also been accepted to the Wien Scholarship Programme. The financial support he received from these two sources allowed him to attend Brandeis University in Massachusetts from 1971-1973, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science.
Inspired by his gratitude for these expressions of generosity, Mr Watanabe is pleased to respond in kind and “pay it forward”, by extending similar benefits to today’s students. This award will allow these individuals to pursue their academic goals. Nikken is proud to embrace such a rewarding programme. Steve Roberts, a Consultant in North America, shares the story of his daughter Addie receiving this amazing scholarship.
My daughter Addie, on the eve of her wedding, received an exciting phone call from the secretary of Mr Watanabe. My wife Toni and I have been a part of Nikken for over 19 years. Mr Watanabe set up a scholarship programme for families of Nikken Consultants who have excelled in school and given back to their communities. Addie was accepted for the scholarship, which will pay all her tuition for her 3rd year in veterinarian school. Needless to say, we were all in shock at the news, it came as a huge unexpected boost for Addie and certainly added some extra “icing on the cake” to her wedding celebration with her new husband, William Reinhard. Addie has done very well in school. Her straight A’s and community involvement have paid off. It’s very difficult to receive grants and scholarships in professional graduate school, which
is very, very expensive. Mr Watanabe has “hit the nail on the head” with this programme. Toni and I have personally achieved many awards and incentives in our many years with Nikken, including convention trips around the globe and no less than four new cars. The feeling of our daughter obtaining this scholarship hit us at a much deeper level than all of our other awards and incentives combined. Having the company reward us for Consultant related activities is one thing, but seeing our daughter rewarded for her scholastic achievements and community involvement by Nikken is another. It’s not just about our daughter - this gives incentive for other young people in the Nikken family to aspire to reach their goals and receive financial help with their education.

I first discovered Nikken in November 2010 when Régine and Jean-Pierre Desroses invited myself and my wife to a Vision & Excellence weekend. At the end of the weekend, I asked if I could attend a Nikken presentation. I then joined Nikken as a Consultant in early December 2010.
Nikken interested me in numerous ways. It is a big company, established in many countries, which allows development of the business globally and with great reliability. The wellness industry, which is an industry full of future promise, and finally the solutions.
In short, Nikken is a reliable partner to develop a strong international business with, on a long term basis. More and more people are looking for a better quality of life while harmonising their personal and professional lives. I am originally from Germany, my family and I moved to the Parisian region over 15 years ago. In 2001, I became a Nikken Customer but I didn’t look into the business opportunity until last November, I recognised the Nikken products during a work placement and I started asking questions. My journey with Nikken began after the “Vision and Excellence” weekend and I reached Silver rank in just 65 days.
The Nikken concept works really well with my job as a Naturopath and gives me the possibility to suggest complementary solutions, which are both simple and practicable. This makes me really happy.

I met Birgit, my Upline for the first time at a training in Copenhagen. A few months later we met again, and that was when I got to see what Nikken’s products can do. I soon became a consultant, although that wasn’t my original plan as I had plenty to keep me busy already, but I decided to give it a go.
We received our Vital Environment Pack, and the Sleep System, that’s when I personally experienced just how good Nikken is for you.
Only a week after I had become a consultant, Birgit took me to a Silver Training, this was very exciting and I learned a lot. There was a little competition on who could bring the most people to a workshop. I grabbed the phone and started making calls, and was surprised that I could get nine people together in such a short period of time. We held several workshops, and Birgit came to help out. When I knew what Nikken had done for us and for so many others, I simply had to make the time so I could help even more people. It was a lot of work, a lot of information and a lot of workshops. However, three months after I signed up I went Silver.
I am so pleased I have reached the Silver Rank.It requires hard work but I am very discerning in everything I do.
My next goal is Gold. I believe in a constructive process of thoughts, everything the brain can picture combined with hard work becomes a reality. You just have to really believe in it.
I am so happy to provide my clients and friends with the excellent Nikken products.
I have a lot of customers that I could tell you so much about. I think I have had every product out there, and each one has helped someone in some way.

In March 2012, I discovered and joined Nikken thanks to Jin Angles, a Gold distributor in Paris. She introduced me to the Nikken Sleep System and gave me a massage.
