Every country have its own unique culture and etnhicclothes. Ukraine has its clothing which vary from regionto region. Main ukrainian folk garment is ”Vyshyvanka”(Figure 1).
Vyshyvanka, in general, is a shirt made of flax with or-naments and patterns. The history of embroidery is veryold. Embroideries were known in the II century BC. Inancient times, the main motives of embroidery symbolsreflected the elements of different ancient cults. For cen-turies, the specific proximate content of embroidery hadbeen losting, but the tradition of their use have not dis-appeared.
Based on motives embroidery ornamental patterns(Figure 2) are divided into three groups:
1. geometric (abstract)They are very simple: circles, triangles, diamonds, zigzags, lines, crosses etc . . .
2. floralThe basis of floral ornament is the desire to transferinto the embroidery beauty of nature.
3. zoomorphic (animal)In zoomorphic embroideries portrayed ornaments ofhorse, rabbit, fish, frogs; of birds – rooster, owl, pigeon, cuckoo; of insects – a fly, butterfly, spider, flying beetles.
