Krete100® - High-strength, ultra-thin Road, Pavement and Floor Coating
Krete100® is an admixture to ordinary concrete mixes, used for repairing
damaged concrete, rock and masonry and as a white topping over asphalt.
Only a thin coat is needed: starting at just 0.31 in (8 mm) thick, compressive
strength is over 50 MPa.
Krete100® is completely liquid and vapor proof and can be applied in heavy
traffic areas, such as loading docks, yards, ramps, parking garages, freeways and
highways.
High compressive and tensile strengths, abrasion and corrosion resistance.
High alkaline and acid resistance, no scaling, dilatation or efflorescence.
No shrinkage cracks.
Water reducer, low heat emission
No CO2 is emitted.
No curing and no densifying toppings are needed.
Using the mix design "Patchcrete" (please see this page) produces a compressive strength
of 50 MPa (7,250 PSI) at a layer thickness of only 8 mm (0.31 inches)

Project overview:
1. Concrete surface damaged by frequent deicing, heavy traffic, and freeze-thaw cycles:
2. Priming of the surface by spraying KF-G: this creates a chemical bond between the
damaged surface and the new layer of Krete100®. Alternately, the surface can be prepared
by steaming or by power washing with water:
3. Krete100® application:
4. Leveling with screed vibrator:

5. The layer of Krete100® is just 20 mm thick before polishing:
6. Polishing with a hand operated machine, on the right is the surface after the first pass:
7. The completed project: 3rd day compressive strength is 30 MPa, 28th day compressive
strength is 52 MPa:

PATCHCRETE MIX DESIGN
For the repair of damaged, contaminated or aged concrete and asphalt.
1. Prepare the surface by steaming, power washing or spraying KF-G (600 Grams KF-
G dissolved in 2 Liters of water) applied at a ratio of 2 Liters/m2 on area of
application.
2. Let surface dry for at least 45 minutes. Apply PATCHCRETE after 45 minutes.
3. Spray KF-G before toweling when shiny concrete surface is required.
4. No curing is needed.
PATCHCRETE BATCH INSTALLATION
1. Batch must be no smaller than 250 Kg.
2. Turn on mixer for 2 minutes.
3. In a case of the batch stiffness do not add water. Continue mixing for another 2
minutes.
4. Continue mixing during application. Do not stop mixer.
ESSENTIALS AND CURING
1. After application, do not provide curing and do not use any curing compounds.
2. Do not cover fresh PATCHCRETE with any films or blankets and do not spray water
onto the surface.
3. Expected results: - Compressive Strength at 50 MPa - Tensile Strength at 8 MPa - Water impermeability at W12

Dr. Alex Rusinoff, President & Chairman. Krete100® APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS Krete100® is a powdered admixture designed to be added into ordinary or adjusted concrete mixes. Used for repair and restoration of concrete, rock, and masonry surfaces by coatings with thicknesses from 8 mm to 35 mm or from 0.31" to 1.37" to restore abrasion resistance, impermeability to liquids, compression and tensile strengths, and resistance to chemical and physical corrosion. BATCH INSTALLATION The minimal volume of the concrete/mortar batch is ¼ CY (0.2 m3). Smaller
volumes will not perform well due to the lower ratio of Krete100 in the concrete batch. DOSAGE 1. Krete100® is dosed by 14 LB/CY or 8.5 Kg/m3
2. Do not dissolve Krete100 with water. Just strew it dry into the batch. SLUMP 1. Do not apply any other chemicals or supplementary materials. 2. Slump should be 2.5” to 3.5 ” or 60 to 90 mm. 3. This slump range provides stable pumpability over 150’ or 45 m. 4. W/C: 0.46 to 0.47 ESSENTIALS 1. Concrete curing is not required in most climatic and environmental conditions. 2. During lab tests, do not place control and trial specimens into the same water tank. SAFETY Operation with Krete100® is similar to other cement mixing jobs. Always use an approved particle respirator and rubber gloves. In case Krete100® is inhaled or gets in contact with the eyes, rinse and wash abundantly with water. Krete100® is non hazardous, non flammable, and non explosive for application, transportation, and storage. http://www.kalmatron.com Phone: 415-385-3290
