Rated for High Temperature ApplicationsThe ULTRACORR 2 sensors rated for temperatures up to 302°F (150°C) and are equipped with an integral RTD temperature sensor which enables taking of simultaneous metal thickness and pipe wall temperature readings. ULTRACORR 2 sensors are particularly suited for refineries, where pipe and processing equipment can run at high temperatures. The sensors may be placed up to 25 feet away from the reader/data-logger, allowing readings to be taken in a safe location.
Non-ConsumableUnlike electrical resistance probes, the ULTRACORR 2 sensor does not require replacement, and will provide many years of uninterrupted service, without the need for routine maintenance. The sensor is permanently fixed to the outer pipe wall using an epoxy couplant.
High ResolutionULTRACORR 2 sensors provide the highest resolution over conventional ultrasonic sensors. The 0.1 mil (0.0025 mm) resolution allows for corrosion/erosion measurements to be calculated in a matter of weeks, rather than years. The ULTRACORR 2 sensor is a true corrosion/erosion monitoring device, for permanent installation, providing frequent updates on corrosion rates in the user’s system.
