EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

The 6th edition of the Saudi Arabia International Oil & Gas Exhibition (SAOGE 2014) was held on November 24-26, 2014 at the Dhahran International Exhibitions Center in Dammam, and welcomed 7397 attendees with representation from 25 countries.

Leading the Official Inauguration and Tour of the SAOGE 2014 Exhibition, was His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Naif Bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who officially opened the exhibition.

SAOGE was launched in November 2008 as the premier event for the Oil & Gas Industry in Saudi Arabia. It was established to meet the requirement for the largest oil producing country in the world to host its own focused oil and gas show a service, which it continues to deliver to the industry.

The Event has shown steady growth since over the six editions and it continues to receive increased attendance both internationally and in the Kingdom.

Providing the complete event in Saudi Arabia for the Oil & Gas Industry, SAOGE attracts high-level technical experts, key industry professionals, specialists and decision makers in various sectors of the petroleum industry. SAOGE has become the largest Oil and Gas specific exhibition seen in over a decade in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

SAOGE maintains its position as the sole Oil & Gas Exhibition in the Eastern province, and continues to deliver an essential platform for key industry professionals, specialists and decision makers.

STUDENT PROGRAMME & SAUDIZATION

SAOGE 2014 also included the SAOGE “Student Programme” which supports the Kingdom’s Saudization plan. Now in its 5h year, the programme aims to boost the number of Saudis working in the oil and gas sector, by encouraging and developing local students who are given direct access to key industry leaders and experts. Participation in the Programme provides students with great opportunities to network and establish contacts for their future, through the SAOGE 2014 exhibition.

Student Programme is supported by two universities, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) and the University of Dammam, who send a group of senior students each year.

As the Exhibition has grown over the years and partnerships with local associations have developed, which has allowed IES the Organisers of SAOGE to take the opportunity to invest in the local community.

SAOGE gives exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to meet with and strengthen business relationships, with both private and public companies, research institutions and government agencies for the only show that gathers all the Oil & Gas leaders working in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia under the same roof.

In addition to the considerable industry endorsements that SAOGE

enjoys, the 2014 edition was also supported by leading trade

associations, through the Saudi Arabian Section of American

Institute of Chemical Engineers (SAS-AIChE) and the Bilateral US-

Arab Chamber of Commerce (BUSACC). As well as a number of

additional global trade associations and trade publications.

Attendees travel from across the Gulf region and beyond to Dammam where SAOGE

facilities the perfect platform to meet, network, learn and

strengthen relationships.

MEDIA COVERAGE & ENDORSEMENTS

A considerable amount of publicity and extensive promotion

campaigns were launched throughout the region and in advance

of the Exhibition to attract the widest qualified audience possible.

SAOGE 2014 was promoted through both English and Arabic

publications including daily, weekly and monthly issues of B2B Trade

Magazines. A significant amount of online advertising through the

supporting websites and portals was also implemented. Both prior

to and during the Exhibition press releases were also published

through the region and globally. An additional 180 outdoor adverts

were placed in strategic locations around the cities of Dammam,

Dhahran and Al Khobar, as well as on the Causeway from Bahrain.
