Choosing a university is one of your most signifi cant life decisions. Here are eight compelling reasons why Hult is the right choice.

Hult is ranked the 16th best business school in the U.S., 31st best in the world (Economist Intelligence Unit 2008), and currently ranks in the Financial Times’ top 100 business schools in the world. The school has a long history of training leaders from all over the world. Our undergraduate students enjoy an exceptional education under the auspices of one of the world’s leading and most recognized schools.

London is perhaps the most exciting city in the world in which to study. Our campus overlooks one of the city’s oldest and most vibrant gardens—Russell Square. Based in the heart of London’s famous academic district of Bloomsbury, you are footsteps away from world-class libraries, museums, shops, restaurants, and landmarks. With one-fi fth of Europe’s largest companies based in London, the city is an excellent launch pad for your future.

We are proud of our exceptionally diverse student body, a bright group of students who hail from over 60 countries in Asia, Europe, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Great Britain, and North America. Our small school is a microcosm of the global community at large.

Hult is the perfect match for students who yearn to attend university in the United Kingdom, but prefer to follow the more fl exible American-style education system. Our curriculum emphasizes the accumulation of broad knowledge in addition to subject specialization. Upon graduation, you will possess a relevant and deep base of knowledge with which to explore specifi c careers. Hult’s academic advisors help chart your academic goals and narrow down the wide study options available to you.

Small class sizes mean highly personalized attention

Experientiallearning

We keep our class sizes small. Our undergraduates enjoy having only about 20 to 25 students per class. This ensures a personalized learning experience for each individual, with plenty of opportunities for meaningful interaction with professors and classmates.

Hult provides students the best of both worlds: the fl exibility of the American-style education system and the academic environment of the United Kingdom. On top of this, our undergraduates earn a degree from a distinguished business school.

Hult International Business School earns top rankings

In 2008, Hult was ranked the 16th best business school in the U.S., 31st best in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit and currently ranks in the Financial Times’ top 100 business schools in the world. These rankings recognize our MBA program, faculty, exceptional student body, and alumni network. Our students’ ability to fi nd employment upon graduation and increase their earning power, as well as the diversity of industries they enter after completion, are key factors in these rankings.

Hult London is a fully accredited member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and is also accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the British Accreditation Council (BAC).

Well-rounded undergraduate curriculum with a wide range of study options

Hult’s academic team has applied the same level of thought and preparation to develop a well-rounded curriculum for undergraduates. Under the American-style credit system, international students at Hult London can enjoy the most

diverse set of educational options in the world. Unlike the U.K. system, which requires university students to declare their major before they begin their fi rst year of studies, the U.S. system encourages university students to study a variety of courses before settling on their major. Likewise at Hult, students are encouraged to explore different subjects before specializing. Consequently, students are able to enjoy a broader perspective and have a richer educational experience.

The advantages of U.S. university education

The American-style education system requires that students complete 12 years of primary and secondary education prior to attending university, and accepts students on the basis of their High School diploma. The U.K. system necessitates 13 years of schooling, and requires A-Levels, International Baccalaureate, or a University Foundation Year. Students entering the U.S. system who have completed 13 years will normally receive advanced placement credit, thus bypassing their fi rst year of university study.

Compared to the U.K. system, a U.S. university education offers a much broader curriculum, in which students gain knowledge of subjects both

1965 Swedish entrepreneur Bertil Hult founds EF Education First, today the world’s largest privately held education organization, with 29,000 teachers and staff, and offices in over 50 countries.

1964 Arthur D. Little Inc., the world’s oldest management consulting firm, establishes the Management Education Institute. Modeled after top business programs, the school attracts some of the world’s most successful business leaders.

1976 The business school is officially accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the governing accreditation body of the top schools and universities in the northeastern United States.

1998 Forbes identifies Hult's Action Learning Program as “highly distinctive”, ranking it with the programs of the top five MBA programs in the United States.

2002 The Economist Intelligence Unit ranks the school the third best business school in Massachusetts, after Harvard Business School and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

within and beyond their chosen degree major. The breadth of knowledge and skills gained during a U.S. degree offers better preparation for graduates entering a diverse and ever-changing world in which success is contingent on the ability to understand and adapt.

All in all, the U.S. system is more intensive, challenges students in a variety of subjects, and prepares graduates for the world ahead.

London is considered one of the world’s most desirable cities in which to live. Hult’s campus could not be in a more central or fabulous location—culture, fashion, history, and art all lie at your doorstep.

Live and Study in One of the Best Places on Earth

The “Knowledge Capital of the World”

Hult looks out over one of London’s largest and most beautiful gardens—Russell Square—in Bloomsbury, the academic and literary heart of London. Scholars and writers, poets and patrons, have long fl ocked to Bloomsbury for its vibrancy and seats of learning. Home to the largest concentration of universities and gardened squares in London, Bloomsbury hosts some of the world’s most extensive libraries and academic facilities, such as the British Library, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, the British Museum, and University College London. As the home to treasures accumulated over centuries, London is one of the best places on earth to study the achievements and artifacts of human civilization.

A thoroughly modern campus

Behind the university’s historic Georgian exterior lies a completely contemporary interior. Renovated by the renowned architectural fi rm, Seville Peach (which also designed Microsoft’s European headquarters), Hult’s facilities have the latest technology and modern amenities, as well as a new student lounge, speaker’s hall, and outdoor patio.

Central London—thousands of things to do within minutes of your doorstep

Hult’s campus is just a few short minutes’ walk from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street—trendy thoroughfares fi lled with boutiques, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, and bookstores. A little further afi eld, you will fi nd the green of Regent’s Park and the endless amusements of Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Soho, and Chinatown. Everything is readily accessible by foot or tube. And, you are within walking distance of St Pancras station and the Eurostar.

The world’s most infl uential city

London is the most infl uential commercial city in the world, according to a recent study commissioned by MasterCard. Thanks to the city’s strong economy, vibrant fi nancial markets, and government policies, London earned the top spot in the Centers of Commerce Index in 2008. The fact that one-fi fth of Europe’s largest companies are based in London makes this city an excellent launch pad for your studies. With fi ve airports (and just as many premier league football teams), London is a crossroads for the world.

Hult provides you with a thoroughly modern learning environment, sophisticated campus, and an extensive array of educational resources.

An Urban University with World-class Facilities

Hult’s London Campus

Our main campus consists of two large Georgian buildings that have been fully refurbished and confi gured to provide an extensive educational facility rarely found in small universities. Classrooms have been fully equipped with the latest multimedia learning tools, and the buildings are completely wireless.

Hult’s Hall of Residence

The university’s Hall of Residence at Byng Place is a fi ve-minute walk from the campus. The residence offers a television room, wireless internet access throughout, and laundry facilities. All rooms are equipped with refrigerators and microwaves. The building is managed and supervised by the Residence Life Director, and supported by Residence Life Staff. Security guards are on duty during evenings and weekends. Access to the residence is via an electronic card system.

Accommodations in London

Hult’s Student Services provides a range of ideas and options for student housing outside of the Hall of Residence. As the housing market in central London is dynamic and changes often, students are advised to meet directly with recommended housing providers to best meet their needs, expectations, and budget. Students may enquire with Student Services for a list of preferred housing providers.

Resources at the University of London and University College London

Hult students can use the excellent facilities at the neighboring University of London with access privileges to:

Senate House Library: The largest academic library in London is a two-minute walk from campus. Senate House Library is eight stories

high and houses over 4 million titles. Hult students enjoy full borrowing access as well as remote access to electronic resources.

University of London’s health and fi tness club: Students can use the comprehensive fi tness facilities at Energy Base Health & Fitness located directly across the street from Hult’s

Hall of Residence. This includes a fully equipped gym, an Olympic-size swimming pool, and full schedule of fi tness classes.

Facilities at University College London (UCL): Hult students can enjoy UCL bars, cafes, and shops, and participate in any number of the 140 clubs and societies of UCL. There are many athletic teams and sports to join—from taekwondo to soccer to tennis.

Additional library privileges: Besides the Senate House Library, Hult students may use the library at the London School of Economics. In addition, Hult students have access to other specialist libraries and resources nearby.

Hult is a place where people know your name. Among the most enduring aspects of your university experience are the lifelong friendships you make. We are proud of the school’s tight-knit and intimate community.

Hult Student Services

Based in both the main campus and the Hall of Residence, the Student Services team aims to ensure that all areas of student life are supported, including: accommodations, residence life, travel, health, immigration advice, counseling, orientation, graduation, student clubs, and activities.

Campus Social Life

At Hult, we understand the importance of integrating students into university life and into the city of London. That is why Student Services, together with the Student Council, coordinates a range of cultural and social activities each semester. These include international evenings, volunteer opportunities, sporting competitions, guest speakers, social events, movie nights, and excursions in London. The campus provides a welcoming environment where students are encouraged to live and learn from each other in an internationally diverse setting.

Travel Opportunities

Hult’s London location offers the perfect opportunity for students to explore the many cultures in Europe and beyond. The campus is located within walking distance of King’s Cross and St Pancras stations, which provide access to Europe via the Eurostar and rail travel to a large variety of destinations in England, Scotland, and Wales. Student Services encourages students to take advantage of the many travel opportunities available to them, and assists them in planning group trips to a range of exciting locations, from the Cotswolds, to Wales, Dublin, Edinburgh, and Paris.

Student Council

The Student Council operates as an independent body to promote the general welfare of students and encourage student involvement. The Student Council initiates a wide variety of programs, including ones on academic issues, guest lectures, sports activities, social and cultural events, the Yearbook, and the graduation ceremony.

New Student Orientation

An Orientation for all new Hult students is conducted at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters. This induction includes: introductions to faculty, staff, and administration; a tour of the campus and surrounding community; an introduction to advisory services such as tutorial advice or English language support; community building activities; counseling; and welcome events. In addition, the fi rst two weeks of each semester are designated as “Orientation Fortnight” with organized events such as educational and social workshops, a welcome party, weekend excursions, and a guided tour of London.

Ray Hilditch has almost 30 years’ experience in American international education. He left his native Scotland in 1979 to take up a post as Chair of Business at Richmond College in London. He joined Hult in 1992 and served as Provost from 1994 until August 2006. He also served as President of the European Council for Business Education (ECBE) from 1998 to 2004. Now, as Provost Emeritus and, in his own words, “as retirement looms closer”, Ray is concentrating on the things he enjoys best—teaching and recruitment. The former has resulted in many hundreds of students being subjected to his early morning classroom banter over the years. The latter has meant he is a frequent visitor to the countries from which Hult draws its student body.

Hult’s Undergraduate Programs

Flexibility is the hallmark of Hult’s curriculum. Our curriculum is structured to give you the freedom to choose subjects, focus, and length of study. You will be assigned an Academic Advisor, who will personalize your study plan and help you chart a path to reach your academic goals.

Earning credits towards a degree

The credit, sometimes called the credit hour, or the semester hour, is the basic unit of value for coursework, equivalent to one hour per week over 14 weeks. All Hult Bachelor’s degrees require at least 120 credit hours of successful study. While 30 credits per year is the expected minimum for full-time study, Hult’s fl exible academic structure allows you to take extra summer classes and up to 40 credits per year, enabling you to graduate with a full 120 credit Bachelor’s degree in three years rather than the usual four years. Note: Students with International Baccalaureate, A-Levels, or University Foundation Year are eligible for 30 credits advance placement toward their Hult degree.

Guidance from Academic Advisors

Over the course of the undergraduate degree, Academic Advisors provide intellectual mentorship, helping students identify relevant courses and an academic pathway that best develops a student’s interests and professional goals. The relationship forged between student and Academic Advisor is central to the Hult model of undergraduate education.

Hult degree structure

Hult’s undergraduate program has four essential components: General Education requirements, a Major, Elective courses, and Professional Development credits. The respective credit breakdown for each component is as follows:

Hult degree structure (All Majors)

General Education is the foundation of the American system of undergraduate education, and is what sets it apart in providing an unrivaled breadth of interdisciplinary knowledge. General Education at Hult consists of a set of courses designed to provide all Hult students, regardless of their chosen major, with the core competencies and transferable skills needed to succeed in a contemporary professional environment. It helps undergraduates to reason critically and independently; to appreciate diversity in culture; and to understand the ways in which knowledge is organized and interconnects. In short, General Education opens up a world of knowledge to Hult undergraduates.

Major Students declare a major, which forms the core of their degree, and is the subject that they choose to study in depth. Hult offers majors in Business, International Relations, and Communications. Students take introductory courses in their major in year one, intermediate courses in years two and three, and advanced

courses in year four. Each major is a combination of core (required) and elective courses.

Concentrations Students may select a concentration from the available list, and their course choices in years three and four are built around the chosen concentration. A concentration is 20 credit hours in an area of special focus, and students are encouraged to add a concentration that furthers their chosen career path. So, for example, a student seeking a career in accounting would major in Business and take a concentration in Finance. The variety of combinations of major and concentration allows students the ultimate fl exibility to tailor their studies to suit their preferred career path.

Minors Instead of a concentration, students may prefer to minor in one of the two remaining major subjects. A minor is made up of 20 credit hours of core courses taken within the chosen academic discipline. A minor is particularly useful for students

who are drawn to more than one of Hult’s majors, but who do not want to invest the extra time needed for a double major. As with concentrations, major-minor combinations provide fl exibility, and are a way to build a degree that refl ects both intellectual curiosity and career relevance.

Professional Development Employers, when surveyed, cite practical skills as the number one criterion when assessing new university graduates for professional posts. All Hult undergraduates take a series of classes, seminars, and workshops drawn from a menu of electives. The common theme of these electives is that they serve to enhance the “employability” of Hult students, advancing communication skills, providing explicit career guidance, or sending students out into the world to pursue internships, fi eld studies, or Action Learning Projects. The Hult professional development track is designed so that Hult graduates gain a professional edge by possessing the skills to satisfy potential employers.

Hult Majors

Students declare a major, which is the degree subject they choose to study in depth. Students usually enter the undergraduate program having already declared a major during the application stage, but may delay their declaration until the beginning of year two. Changing major within the fi rst two years is usually possible without affecting the expected date of graduation. Beyond year two, switching major may require additional study time to graduate.

Hult offers three majors:

• Business• Communications• International Relations

Each of these majors may also be selected as a minor for students seeking more advanced knowledge of a second academic discipline.

Students take introductory courses in their major in year one, intermediate courses in years two and three, and advanced courses in year four. Each major is a combination of core (required) and elective courses.

“Studying here has truly altered my perspective on life. Today, I understand that the happiness derived from one’s university experience is not wholly dependent on good grades, but also on the support you get from the people around you. Without these people and this education, I simply would not have been the person I am today. ”

Hult Concentrations

Students may select a concentration from the available list, and course choices in the latter stages of the degree are built around the chosen concentration. A student seeking a career in Accounting would major in Business and take a concentration in Finance. A concentration in Confl ict & Global Security prepares graduates with the skills to assess the threats and risks to the stability of the modern state system and its supporting instruments. International security is compromised by a range of threats such as nuclear weapons, transnational crime, terrorism, environmental scarcity, and various forms of politically or economically motivated violence. A concentration in Confl ict & Global Security can lead graduates into global or local risk assessment, policy analysis, international security and crisis management, preventive diplomacy, and confl ict resolution.

Creative Industries

The Creative Industries cover fi lm, television, radio, music, games, museums, theaters, galleries, and advertising. The Creative Industries in London are second only to the fi nancial services sector in annual revenue, and they are the fastest growing sector of London’s economy—which is why some commentators have called it the “New Creative Economy”. There are, for example, over 113,000 creative companies in London alone. Graduates of this concentration go on to careers in fi lm, television and radio, tourism and heritage, the music industry, arts management, and public policy. Graduates may, for instance, work for a fi lm or music production studio, produce creative content as a writer or designer, or manage a museum or tourist venue.

Governments pursue their interests through a range of techniques, from bilateral diplomacy to multilateral conferences. Along the way, their conduct is constrained by international law and mediated through a myriad of international organizations, both governmental and non-governmental. Contemporary political problem-solving necessitates an understanding of the tools and strategies of such global governance. This concentration prepares graduates for a traditional career in diplomacy or international civil service. It is also an ideal concentration for those graduates seeking work within NGO management, international law, or human rights in a global context.

General Management

This concentration will attract students who aspire to senior management positions in the future, either in a corporate environment or in small and medium enterprises. As well as developing the skills and personal qualities expected of successful leaders, this concentration adopts the “generalist” perspective, essential in the formulation and implementation of strategic decision-making. Students will learn to see the enterprise as a whole, and to appreciate the linkages between the different functional areas of management. This concentration is often viewed as an excellent preparation for further study at the postgraduate level, especially for a Master of International Business (MIB).

Courses:

• Organizational Leadership• Corporate Social Responsibility• Organizational Behavior• Operational Research• Sales Management• Production & Project Management • Business Information Systems• Supply Chain Management• International Business Management• Management Consulting• Human Resource Management • Decision Support Systems • Managing Public Services

Marketing professionals have become vital not just to organizations but to society as a whole. They are the master communicators of the 21st century. They may specialize in research, planning, branding, entrepreneurship, or management. They may work for corporations or in the non-profi t sector, for environmental or arts organizations, for example. But the best marketing experts, whatever their fi eld, understand psychology, and the art of communicating. Graduates will develop careers in advertising, product development, brand management, design, copywriting, research and planning, client services, and promotions.

Hult Professional Development

All undergraduates take a series of classes, seminars, and workshops drawn from a menu of electives. The common theme of these electives is that they serve to enhance the “employability” of Hult students, advancing communication skills, providing explicit career guidance, or sending students out into the world to pursue internships, fi eld studies, or Action Learning Projects. Internships

The capstone experience during the Professional Development component is the internship. Following a year-long series of relevant seminars and speakers, Hult’s Career Services team help identify and secure summer internships for undergraduates at the end of year three. Given the school’s central London location, local internship opportunities abound, but students may also participate in internships outside the U.K. Through job postings and networking, students can pursue internships in any sector of interest. Internships are credit-bearing.

Past internship placements include:• Accenture• Amnesty International• BAE Systems• BBC• The British Museum• British Parliament• British Telecom• CNN• Embassy of Thailand• Ernst and Young• Estee Lauder• European Commission• The Financial Times• Greenpeace• Harrods• The Hilton Foundation• HSBC

Professional Development

Our philosophy is to help you develop through exposure to a wide variety of options and platforms. Professional Development includes a series of practical workshops:

Professional Development

The cornerstone of Hult’s commitment to experiential education is the Professional Development component. Students can participate in internships, fi eld studies, or Action Learning Projects to obtain real-life knowledge and gain a critical head start.

• Human Ability and Accessibility Center• IBM• Imaginatik• Intel• International Criminal Court• ISH/CERA• KPMG• Mercedes-Benz• Merrill Lynch• New Energy Finance • Red Bull• Osram-Sylvania • United Nations • Thomson Financial• Wachovia

Field Studies

Field studies put theory into practice, allowing students to gain hands-on experience for academic credit. Students can work with refugees in Africa, eco-tourists in Tenerife, or homeless children in Brazil. Field studies bridge the gap between classroom and real-world skills.

Action Learning Projects

Students may also participate in credit-bearing practicums or simulations that link the real world with their studies. These opportunities are available as scheduled courses or as independent study projects each year. Distinguished speakers and guest lecturers speak on campus throughout the year, making London and its rich offerings become part of the classroom.

Master of International Business

Meet the challenges of a global marketplace

A strong understanding of how the world is interconnected through finance, marketing, operations, technology, and strategy, gives students an immediate head start in launching their careers. Hult’s Master of International Business degree helps students acquire practical business knowledge with a focus on international and cross-cultural understanding of the marketplace. This degree is particularly well suited for recent university graduates (business and non-business majors) who do not have extensive work experience. This degree is also appropriate for people who have work experience but seek to move into the international business realm.

Hult’s Global Rotation Program

An international perspective is crucial to understanding today’s business issues. Hult’s Global Rotation Program allows students to gain critical insights into the world’s key economies and fi rsthand international business experience. You can opt to pursue your Master of International Business in Boston, London, or Dubai. When students take their elective courses, they can choose to remain at their home campus or study at a different Hult campus, including Shanghai.

Curriculum combines hard skills with lessons in decision-making and strategy

Hult’s Master of International Business curriculum delivers an understanding of today’s global marketplace. Initially, students focus on learning the hard skills in international finance, marketing, operations, and strategy. Subsequently, graduates also gain the analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills necessary to make decisions in a rapidly

evolving, cross-cultural world. Through a combination of case study discussions and lectures, students will also acquire presentation and communication skills necessary to work and excel in multinational settings and companies.

Internship Elective Program

Gain valuable on-the-job experience to bolster your classroom knowledge and expand your industry contacts. Our global Career Services team reaches out to hiring managers in companies of all sizes and industries in order to provide you with unrivaled contacts for the fi rst step in your career. Please note that selection for the Internship Elective Program is based on academic background, extracurricular activities pre-Hult, and language communication skills.

Enhance your employability

In today’s increasingly competitive job market, this degree gives graduates a sound foundation in international business that students can bring to any new job and apply on Day One. Hult’s Career Services team works closely with students throughout the year in their job search, arranging recruiting fairs, campus networking opportunities, and internship placements. With no work experience required upon admission, Hult’s Master of International Business degree can jumpstart your career.

A seamless path to a rewarding future

Hult’s Master of International Business is taught by the same faculty and follows an abbreviated version of Hult’s top-ranked MBA curriculum. Because our MIB and MBA curricula are highly synchronized, MIB graduates can convert to a Hult MBA degree after three years of work experience and an additional 24 credits, with no re-application requirements.

Hult’s Master of International Business degree helps launch students’ careers immediately after undergraduate studies with a one-year, intensive global business education, offered in four global locations—Boston, London, Dubai, and Shanghai.

Master of Arts in International Relations

Learn how to identify patterns and effect change

The field of International Relations continues to develop rapidly in response to dramatic global changes. Graduates grounded in the facts of the past, skilled in the debates of the present, and able to anticipate patterns of future development will be ready to shape institutional responses to global change.

Course grounded in contemporary events and reality

Hult offers a practical MA in International Relations which prepares students for the combination of the known and unknown lying ahead by offering a broad platform of knowledge about the international system, its key actors, and its essential dynamics. Coursework covers issues such as cross-border migration, globalization, the widening poverty gap, the impact of American foreign policy, and the threat of terrorism. The MA program explores critical perspectives on these issues, engaging students in question-driven analysis and the search for constructive global change.

Highly flexible curriculum allows you to specialize

The MA in International Relations program is highly flexible, and the range of courses allows students to concentrate on selected areas while developing a broad base of knowledge across the discipline as a whole. During a 12-month period (longer for part-time study), students undertake a series of flexible course modules and write a thesis on a topic of their choice.

Put your knowledge to work: field studies or internship opportunities

Field studies and internships put theory into practice, allowing students to gain hands-on experience of project-related work in a global context. Previous field studies range from: a conflict resolution tour in Jordan, a global justice tour in The Hague, and a security studies tour of NATO in Brussels to an ecological field study in Vietnam. These life-changing experiences bridge the gap between classroom and real-world skills.

Career opportunities for MA of International Relations graduates

This MA program opens opportunities in a wide range of areas including: diplomacy, foreign relations, global civil service, non-government organizations, public policy consulting, risk analysis, think tanks, and non-profit organizations.

Hult’s Master of Arts (MA) in International Relations program trains students to evaluate and analyze global issues and trends, and to become active players in an increasingly complex world.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Hult’s MBA program is recognized as world-class

In 2008, Hult was ranked the 31st best business school in the world by the Economist Intelligence Unit. This ranking recognizes the uniquely international focus, the quality of the program and the faculty, and the exceptional student body and alumni network. Hult is a fully accredited member of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The MBA program is also accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA).

Hult’s MBA pays for itself in half the time of other programs

Compared to other top business schools, Hult represents a very smart investment. Equipped with their MBA, Hult graduates command competitive starting salaries. The fact that the one-year MBA program costs less and gets students back to the workforce sooner, means Hult graduates, on average, are able to recoup their investment in just over a year. This is far quicker than traditional two-year U.S. MBA programs.

One global MBA, four locations

Hult’s Global Rotation Program provides an extraordinary opportunity to study in the world’s key economies. An international perspective is crucial to understanding today’s business issues. You can opt to pursue your MBA in Boston, London, or Dubai. No matter which home campus you choose, you will receive the same fully accredited one-year MBA education of identical quality, using the same intensive curriculum.

Students will spend nine months at their home campus (Boston, London, or Dubai) for the core courses. Students can then choose to take their elective courses on one of Hult’s other campuses, including Shanghai.

Expert Career Services network

With offices in Europe, Asia, the U.S., and the Middle East, Hult is uniquely positioned to help our international students find global employment opportunities. Hult’s Career Services team maintains corporate connections around the world and actively cultivates employer contacts for all students.

A truly international student body

Hult’s students are internationally experienced professionals who have an average age of 29 and an average of seven years’ work experience. The breadth of experience, insights, and cultural perspectives that Hult students bring to the classroom creates an extraordinary learning experience.

Faculty with real-world experience

The Hult faculty has outstanding academic credentials combined with real-life experience running and managing successful businesses. Hult professors are seasoned professionals with expertise teaching international managers—80% have extensive international experience and many are citizens of countries other than the U.S.

Hult International Business School offers a world-class one-year MBA program (ranked 31st in the world). Hult’s unique global rotation program allows students to study in Boston, London, Dubai, or Shanghai.

Academic English Profi ciency

Accelerated language learning

This fl exible-length course teaches you the academic English skills, both spoken and written, that you will need to succeed at Hult. Designed for non-native English speakers, these courses enable students to begin any Monday of any year at any one of Hult’s partner EF International Language Schools or directly on the Hult Campus with our English Language Development Program. EF campus locations include London, Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Bournemouth, Bristol, or Manchester. Courses are taught at all levels of ability from complete beginner to profi cient.

Meet the language requirement for university enrollment

All undergraduate degree programs offered at Hult demand a minimum level of English language profi ciency from international students. In most cases, students must score a minimum of 6.0 on the IELTS or 525 on the TOEFL exam. Candidates must also demonstrate a familiarity with commonly used academic terms and phrases. Depending on your English level, we will recommend you to

go to EF International Language Schools if your IELTS level is 5.0 or below or to join our English Language Development Program at the Hult campus if your IELTS is 5.5 or above. In both cases, you will be able to also take the exam preparation course, which helps you master the language skills and techniques for a successful Cambridge, IELTS, or TOEFL score.

Make dramatic improvements with a special 9-month EF Academic Year program

Students can spend six or nine months on an EF Academic Year course at any one of EF’s schools in the U.K. This course is geared to help students make signifi cant improvements in written and spoken English so that they are both linguistically and culturally fl uent. Admissions Policy

The admissions policy of the School is intended to assess how an

applicant might contribute to, and benefi t from, an undergraduate

education in a culturally diverse institutional environment. It refl ects a

“holistic approach” to application review based on (1) Basic Admissions

Criteria, and (2) Personal Factors:

Basic Admissions Criteria

• High school transcripts

• Letters of recommendation

• English language profi ciency

Personal Factors

• National origin, ethnicity, gender (to ensure diversity)

• Career goals

• Evidence of

- Leadership

- Professional promise

- Motivation and drive

- Overcoming adversity, including disabilities

The above factors are not exhaustive, and may be considered in

various ways. They may not, however, be subsumed into a standard

formula or ranking. They will be considered in conjunction with all

other admissions criteria and factors, in light of the School’s mission

and purpose.

Age Requirement for Hall of Residence

To qualify to stay in the Hall of Residence a student must be at least 18

years old by the end of the fi rst semester.

Tuition Credit Policy

The Tuition Fee entitles a student to study classes totaling up to 30

credit hours per academic year. Students who take classes totaling less

than 30 credit hours in any given academic year will not be given any

credit towards classes taken in subsequent academic years. Course

length is inclusive of vacations and other breaks.

Cancellation and Withdrawal Policy

The date on which the notice of intention to withdraw and not re-

enter is received by the Registrar, or the date on which the student

is informed of his or her dismissal from the School, will be used to

determine the appropriate tuition credit.

After the offi cial end of the “Add/Drop” the School grants only tuition

credits that may be used within a fi ve-year period for future educational

services. It does not grant cash refunds.

A student withdrawing during an academic year is entitled to a tuition

credit equal to 40 credit hours less the total credit hours of classes

during that academic year for which that student has registered and

has started or completed at the time of withdrawal.

Graduation Requirements

• Students working towards an undergraduate degree must

satisfactorily complete a minimum of 120 credit hours of

coursework, with a Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.00 (C) or

better for all work completed with letter-grade credit. If a student

repeats a course, the higher grade counts towards graduation and

the computation of the Cumulative Grade Point Average.

• Students must satisfactorily complete both all General Education

requirements as set out in the current School Catalog, and all

requirements for the student’s major.

• The following Residence Requirements must be met:

(i) A student’s last 40 credit hours of credit or a combined total of

30% of the required credit hours must be earned at the School in

London.

(ii) A maximum of 8 credit hours of credit earned previously through

distance learning courses may be applied towards graduation at the

School.

(iii) A maximum of 40 credit hours of credit earned through a

combination of special examinations, experiential credit, and

distance learning may be applied towards graduation at the School.

• After a student has enrolled at the School, the student must obtain

approval in writing from the Provost or Academic Dean, in order

to be assured credit at the School, for subsequent work taken at

any other accredited institutions (in regular semesters or summer

sessions, correspondence or extension courses, study abroad, etc).

• Students who require fewer than 40 credit hours to graduate in

a given academic year, will pay a pro rata tuition fee based on

the number of credit hours required to graduate. Only graduating

students are eligible for pro rata tuition fees.

Data Protection

Any information provided to the School may be held on computers and

shall be used by the School and its authorized agents in accordance

with the Data Protection Act.

Defi nition of Key Terms

• Major: All students at the School must declare a major, i.e. the

fi eld in which the student chooses to specialize, to understand in

depth. As is common in American higher education, the School’s

undergraduate programs do not concentrate exclusively on one

fi eld. Requirements for majors are specifi ed in the catalog, and a

student can graduate and receive a degree only when he or she

has completed a set of major requirements successfully. A student’s

major is listed on his or her transcript.

• Concentration: A concentration is a sub-set of related courses within

the major. Not all School majors offer concentrations; some require

them. Others offer them as options beyond the requirements of

the major. Specifi c concentrations, the courses making them up,

and their role in major requirements are described in the School’s

catalog. Concentrations are formally listed on student transcripts.

• Joint Major: Students may elect to combine concentrations

and specialties into a Joint Major. To do so, they must satisfy

requirements specifi ed by the academic departments of both

majors.

• Elective Courses: These are courses chosen by the student. Some

of these courses are within the major and offer students a degree of

choice in their areas of specialization. Others are free electives, and

allow students to pursue interests outside the major.

• Hours: Progress towards a degree is measured in credit hours. The

normal load for a full-time student is 40 credits taken over 5 out of 6

semesters a year.
