Welcome to the New First Screen: Your Phone This Ad Age article states that daily time spent on mobile devices is now outpacing TV in the U.S. for the first time, according to a newly-released 2014 AdReaction study from Millward Brown.They also found that users are watching multiple screens simultaneously: The agency classifies simultaneous screen time into two key buckets: “stacking” when the consumed content is unrelated (mindless surfacing FB) and “meshing” when the content synchs up (searching for an actress in the show).
