The hohe salve – 1,829 m high -a liTTle closer To The TYrolean sKY
It has always been the magnificent view that has impressed people most on the Hohe Salve. You can experience the breathtaking 360° panoramic view of over 70 three-thousand-metre high peaks without much effort, as the Hopfgarten cable cars will whisk you easily and comfortably to the top by two ultra modern gondolas.
A visit to Austria‘s highest lying chapel, the pilgrimage church of St. John the Baptist, can easily be combined with some beautiful walks. An attractive panoramic path, the Sonnenweg (sun path), takes you on a half-hour walk around the domed peak of the Hohe Salve. Children can climb on the head of a giant and will be excited to observe marmots in the wild on the Salvenberg.

marvel - conTemplaTe - comprehendhexenwasserWith more than 60 wet and wonderful stations, the Hexenwasser mountain theme park invites the whole family to discover and explore from 9am until 5.30pm every day. A humming stone, water spring bowl, witch‘s mill, house of the queen bee, witch‘s ladder... these are the mysterious titles, as though in a picture book. And everyone, aged 3 to 103, can read this book. The knowledgeable Hexenwasser team makes sure visitors get to see and experience the fascinating wonders of nature in a fun way. Walking barefoot over rough and smooth across streams and meadows massages the foot‘s reflex zones and invigorates the body. He who walks with awareness understands; „thinking barefoot“ is what the witches call it. Anyone who observes the take-offs and landings of the bees in the bee theatre, follows their waggle dance or even enters the pitch black beehive is sure to be inspired and exhilarated.

hohe salveDon‘t miss the gondola ride from the Hexenwasser mountain theme park to the Hohe Salve, the mountain with the best views in Tyrol. Enjoy the spectacular 360° view of the Kitzbühel Alps, the Großglockner and the Hohe Tauern range from the first revolving terrace. Another much-admired attraction is the oversized wind harp and the 12 sundial stations whose secrets our employees will be happy to let you in on. Make sure you don‘t miss out on a visit to the Salvenkirche church and Magdalena‘s „Kirchtags Kiachl“ (doughnut speciality for the church festival) either.
