5Themes ofGeographyHow could we describe the relative location of Richmond?Location: Where is it?

Absolute location: latitude and longitude of a place, or a street address

Relative location: what is it near? Landmarks?

What kind of place is Richmond? Place: what kind of place is it?DESCRIBING the place-does it have mountains, rivers, beaches?-what kind of climate?-is it a big city, or in the country?
