change a repeating
decimal into a fraction.
Step 1: Set the repeating decimal equal to “x”.
Step 2: Determine how many digits are repeating. Multiply both sides of the equation by 10 for each
digit that it repeats.
Step 3: Subtract “x” from both sides of the equation. This will cancel out the repeating digits.
Step 4: Divide both sides of the equation by the coefficient.
