MIDI TRACK

AUDIO TRACK

In an MIDI track it records of the computer so when you look at it recorded it like this.

In an Audio track it records from the real instrument so it’s not from the computer so when you play a guitar it show how hard and soft you have played it. Software

track A software track is were its all combined together so that is what makes a soft ware track.

The differences between both synths and the selection of sounds is that they have different type of sound and different tones in them.In the halion one there is a few dials so you can change the sound a little bit.In the prologue there is lots of dials and more information so you can adjust and change the sound to whatever you want.

Take the guitar lead and plug it to the bit that says guitar input and then the other end I will plug it into the guitar itself.

Recording Audio

Now if you want to play the guitar with a microphone the plug the lead into the bit that says mic input but you would what to put on the other because you can really have two thing plugged at a time.

Take the USB lead and plug it into the part that says USB then I should be connected to the computer.

And also if you want speakers plugged I then put it in to the part that says L– MAIN – R.

The lights show how much gain there is when you are playing red is to much gain, orange is just right and green is little.

To change the gain you need to move the dial to haw gain you would like.

Page 19: Unit 1.2 By Cheyenne Morgan. Sequencing projects 1 This one is based on vocals, drums, bass, clavinet and lead synth. This one is the one with different.

This picture shows a sound wave of too much gain so it wouldn’t sound clean.

This picture shows a sound wave that the gain is just rite so it would sound perfect and you would hear it better.

This picture shows a sound wave of to little gain because it would be to quiet for anyone to hear so there will be no point people really listening to it.

Recording the drum

Recording a microphone

This picture shows a sound wave that is too close to what the microphone is near.

This picture shows a sound wave that it is just right and it’s ok because you can hear it properly.

This picture shows a sound wave of the microphone is too quiet so you cant really hear it as well.
