The Great Wall

The Great Wall twists and turns along the tops of mountain chains in northern China. It is more than 4,000 kilometers long.

Construction of the wall began in the fifth century BC. The wall finally took shape in the third century. From Beijing, you can visit the Great wall at Badaling,65 kilometres north-west of the city. The Great Wall opens at 6.30 a.m.and closes at 7 p.m. in summer.
