What is an adjective?

Adjective - a word preceding a noun in order to give more information or describe particular features of

the noun e.g. beautiful, dirty, expensive, long, interesting, etc.

How to describe things

• A pencil is cylindrical in shape.

• A nail is made of iron.• It is an European car.• A coin is small and flat.• This is a new mobile phone.

Structures for Using Adjectives
