  • Fellow Shooters, First and foremost, a huge thank you to all the volunteers that have kindly offered up their free time and energies to create what will be a great Area match. Without all the fabulous folks that volunteer, matches of all sizes wouldn’t be what they are now. This year’s match is graciously sponsored by Atlas Gunworks (http://atlasgunworks.com/) and Hogue (https://www.hogueinc.com ) both of which provide fantastic firearms or equipment for the shooters. We have a lot of other generous sponsors and we hope that you will all find your way to support them in return for their support to us. This year one lucky person is going to win an Open Gun from Atlas Gunworks!!! Key times for each day of the match: Registration: 7:30 am Shooters Meeting: 8:30 am First Shots: 9:00 am Lunch Break: 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm Lunch is provided. Shooting will stop at 12 noon for everyone. We will need to keep lunch to a half hour since the day is fully packed with 10 stages and chrono. Lunch will be sandwiches and assorted snacks with soft drinks and water. We will also have “The Slush Lady” present during the day for additional food items and drinks for purchase. We are extremely lucky this year with an Area match designed and staffed by eleven different clubs…truly an Area 7 effort by some very dedicated folks. Many people are contributing this year, but a special thank you to Craig Phillips, Sean Janicki, and Peter Dougenik for their skills with “Sketch-Up” and to Steve Piche, Lee Cabana and David Bold for a lot of the critical details that go into preparing a major match. Thanks also to the members of our own club who responded whenever we asked for a work party. We will be using Practiscore electronic scoring for the match. Please be sure to review the scoring summary on the Nook when you sign your paper copy. This is your chance to check the accuracy of the transcribed score. Special things to note:

    No drones will be allowed

Scoring may begin while you are still shooting the stage so designate a representative if you want to oversee the scoring

Safe tables are to be used and the shooter must remain in the “box” while handling a firearm at the safe table. A table will be set-up at the entrance to the “action pits” for those who carry so that they may put their carry gun away safely

Porta-toilets are set-up in the main shooting area and one is next to pit 8 (our “cowboy” area) for your use during the day

Use a blank target to make a “Call Board” so everyone will know when it’s his or her time to shoot

This is a lost brass match

Photographers/videographers are restricted to areas behind the starting line. Please enjoy yourself today. Be safe and have fun. If a scoring call or procedural issues arise on a stage, please do not engage in a debate with the staff as it will hold up the match for everyone else. If you are going to challenge or appeal, make your decision immediately and we will call for one of the Range Masters to come address your concern. David Bold and Lee Cabana, our Range Masters, will be more than happy to talk with you. Shooter swag has been awarded by random drawing in advance of the match, and those prizes will be passed out during registration. There will not be a "prize table to walk" during the match. Performance awards will be ordered and delivered in the weeks after the match. Thanks and enjoy the match! Ira Grossman Betsy Grecoe
