Beginning September 8, Jubilate will have supper (6:00-6:30) and rehearsal at church on Sunday nights. We would like to have 3 teams of 2 people each to prepare supper on a rotating basis. We would also like to have one Sun-day Bible Study Class each month to prepare a meal. The Youth also meet on Sunday nights, so preparations for the Jubilate meal would be coordinated with the Youth meal volunteers. This schedule for Jubilate is planned for September through November and January through April.

This is a great opportunity to sup-port Jubilate and to get to know the members better.

Contact Alba Beasley for more infor-mation or to sign up.

WMU

School Supplies Project

The WMU thanks everyone for the gen-

erous donations to purchase school supplies for

the low-income children at Wood-brook Elementary School. We collected $1,835.

Jubilate Needs Your Help!

Have You Moved or

Changed Your Email Address?

Remember to let the church office know when you change your email address, home address, or phone num-ber so that we can keep our records up to date.

Ushers Needed

New Ushers are needed for the Sun-day 11:00 worship service, to greet, help folks find seats, and hand out bulletins. If you would be willing to help please contact Bob Badgett.

Jubliate (pronounced yoo-bi-la-tay) is our auditioned choir for both undergraduate and graduate students. Jubilate per-forms a wide variety of musical styles and traditions from classical to contemporary. The group performs regularly at University Baptist Church as well as churches throughout Virginia. Jubilate undertakes a spring tour each year and has performed in New York City, St. Louis, Baltimore, Houston, Dallas, Denver, and many stops in between.

Acolytes Needed

If you would like to volunteer to be an acolyte, please call Alba in the church office. Training will be provided. We are looking for children in 3rd grade and up.
