Onehunga High Business School Undergraduate Scholarship
The main purpose of the Scholarship is to encourage and assist students from Onehunga High Business School to undertake study in the BCom or BProp programmes and the development of a cadre of future leaders of business and society.
One award is available to a Māori student, one award is available to a Pacific Island student and one award is available in open competition across all students of the Onehunga High Business School. Selection will take into account the a student’s academic performance over their best 64 credits in level 3 NCEA in Economics, Accounting and Statistics and one other approved subject, or in their best 48 credits in Level 3 NCEA in Economics, Accounting and Statistics and achievement of at least a D grade in CIE Business Studies at AS level 5. In addition the following will be taken into consideration in the selection process: recommendation of the Principal/Head of School, evidence of community involvement and leadership, demonstration of significant financial need.

Michael Synnott Scholarship
The main purpose is to encourage students of Māori and Pacific descent residing or attending schools in the area commonly referred to as South Auckland to attend the University of Auckland.
For Māori and Pacific students residing or attending schools in South Auckland (specifically Otara, Papatoetoe, Mangere, Manurewa, Otahuhu and Papakura). The Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic achievement, demonstrated financial need, leadership potential and potential to succeed at University. To take up and be paid the Scholarship students must have a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.000, and be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree. To continue to hold this scholarship, recipients must maintain a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.000 based on all the courses they undertake in each year of study. A GPA of 3.000 is equivalent to a C+ average.

Fair Wind Foundation Scholarships
The main purpose of the Scholarships is to assist female students, who are experiencing challenging personal, family or financial circumstances that may prevent them from undertaking full-time study. Preference is given to women of Cook Island descent.
The basis of selection will be female students (preferably of Cook Island descent), academic merit, the nature and quality of the applicant’s personal statement, motivation to succeed at university and demonstrated financial hardship. Academic merit is assessed by a GPA of 3.5 or higher, obtained over the applicant’s most recent two years of full-time graded study (or equivalent). A GPA of 3.5 is equivalent to the minimum of the B- average range.

Māori and Pacific Student Commuting Grant
The University of Auckland Business School recognises that meeting the costs of commuting into university can be a struggle for many Māori and Pacific students. The Commuting Grants are available to assist full-time undergraduate students whose studies are threatened by those costs.
The grants are available to Māori and Pacific students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate programme at the Business School. The basis of selection will be those students who best meet the eligibility criteria and are deemed to have the greatest financial need. To receive regular ‘top ups’ students must sit their exams and attend mandatory lectures or tutorials.

Established to recognise University of Auckland students who excel in their studies and to assist them in the pursuit of a career in Financial Markets or Investment Banking.
For students in their penultimate year of a Bachelor of Commerce or conjoint degree. The basis of selection will be academic merit, teamwork and leadership qualities, demonstrated problem solving ability, career aspirations, as well as interview performance. Further consideration will be shown to students who make a significant contribution to social, sporting and/or community activities in addition to their studies. Preference will be given to students who agree to accept an internship with the firm if the option is presented to them.

Energy Education Trust Undergraduate and Honours Scholarship
The main purpose of the Scholarships is to fund undergraduate and honours students for one year to assist them to undertake full-time studies in the fields of science, economics, engineering and related fields with a specific interest in the energy needs of New Zealand.
Students must be in full-time enrolment in a Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Commerce conjoint majoring in Economics, with a specific interest in the energy needs of New Zealand. The basis of selection will be the applicant's academic results (students with a GPA of less than 6.0 will not be considered), with consideration also given to the student's demonstrated interest in energy, future study and employment plans, their desire to succeed and community involvement.

The main purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support undergraduate students in the study of Accounting at Stage II.
For students in full-time enrolment in a BCom undertaking Stage II courses in Accounting. Students undertaking a BCom as part of a conjoint degree are eligible to apply. Māori and Pacific Tautoko Grant
The main purpose of the Grants is to provide financial support to undergraduate students of Māori and Pacific descent attending the Business School who are experiencing financial hardship.
The grants are available to Māori and Pacific students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate programme at the Business School. The basis of selection will be academic merit (assessed as a Scholarships GPA or GPE obtained over the applicant’s most recent two years of full-time graded study or equivalent), and financial need. To continue to hold the Grant the recipient must maintain a full-time degree programme of study at the University of Auckland Business School with a Grade Point Average of at least 3.00 (equivalent to a C+ average) in each semester of study.

Toi Uru Roa: The Paul Kelly Māori Undergraduate Scholarships
To encourage the development of a cadre of future Māori leaders of business and society by promoting academic excellence and assisting outstanding students to reach their full potential.
For Māori undergraduate students enrolled full-time and who have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for study in the Faculty of Business and Economics. The basis of selection will be academic merit and the potential to succeed in the study of business and economics. Strong leadership potential in school, community, profession or business and demonstrated commitment to community service will also be factors taken into consideration by the Selection Committee. Preference may be given to students who can demonstrate significant financial need. Students must provide evidence of ethnic or iwi affiliations. Candidates must achieve an NCEA rank score of at least 220 or a CIE rank score of at least 260 based on their Year 13 results.

The main purpose of the Scholarships is to encourage academically meritorious Māori students to obtain qualifications within the Business School. The Scholarships aim to promote diversity and development across all facets of Māori business.
The recipients must be Māori students who have paid the fees, or arranged to pay the fees, for full-time enrolment in the final year of a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Property or a conjoint degree in the Business School at the University of Auckland. Tuakana Scholarships for Māori and Pacific Students
The Scholarships were established to support Māori and Pacific students in their final year of undergraduate study. The Scholarships also aim to encourage students into postgraduate study.
The Scholarships will be awarded to students who have paid the fees for full-time or part-time enrolment in a degree programme at the University of Auckland. The basis of selection will be in the final year of undergraduate degree, minimum GPA of 4.000 (B- average) in their previous year of study, demonstrated participation in the Tuakana programme, recommendation from Tuakana programme co-ordinator in area of study, and intention to pursue a postgraduate degree.

University of Auckland Academic Potential Scholarships
For school leavers who have achieved academically, but are experiencing hardships or who may have been disadvantaged due to their personal circumstances who wish to enter an undergraduate degree programme.
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have a minimum NCEA rank score (obtained from study in Year 12) of 200. This equivalent to a CIE rank score of 200 and a predicted score of 28 for IB students. Awards are made in three different Tiers, and the review committee determines which Tier a successful applicant will be awarded under: Tier 1

Ralph & Eve Seelye Undergraduate Scholarships
To assist school leavers from decile 1-3 schools who have the potential to succeed at University and who, because of financial hardship, may not otherwise be able to undertake a university degree.
Year 13 students from a decile 1-3 school intending to enrol in a full-time degree programme. Of the 10 Scholarships, 2 scholarships may be awarded annually to students attending De La Salle College and 2 scholarships may be awarded annually to students attending McAuley High School. To assist students from the Far North of New Zealand who are the first members of their immediate family to attend a university and who wish to obtain a degree. The ideal candidate will be someone who intends to contribute to the understanding or development of the natural, social, technological or scientific resources of the Far North.
Students enrolled in a full-time undergraduate degree programme who have multi-generational roots in the Far North of New Zealand and who are the first members of their family to attend university. The purpose of the Scholarships is to assist students to pursue to best advantage the study of Economics.

The main purpose of the Scholarship is to assist students who are the first member of their immediate family to attend university and who, because of financial hardship, may not otherwise be able to undertake a university degree.
The basis of selection will be academic merit, motivation to succeed at University and demonstrated financial hardship. The recipient must be the first member of his or her family to attend a university. To continue to hold the Scholarship the recipient must maintain a grade point average of at least 4.00 (equivalent to a B- average) in each year of study.

Student Allowance is a weekly payment to help with living expenses while studying. It can include an accommodation benefit. It’s money that you don’t have to pay back. To get a student allowance you usually have to be 18 years old or over and enrolled on an undergraduate tertiary course. How much Student Allowance you get depends on your income, your partner’s income, if you have children, and your parents’ income.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand Māori and Pacific Islands Scholarship in Economics, Finance and Banking
Open to Māori and Pacific Island university students who are studying Economics, Finance or Banking studies.
Students must have completed Economics, Finance or Banking studies at the 100 level (i.e. completed first year of university), have attained at least a B+ grade and who intend to continue studying to Honours level.
$1,500 in the first year, increased to $2,500 in the second year and $3,500 in the final year of study. The successful applicant will be paired with a Reserve Bank staff member who will act as a mentor.

Ngāpuhi Scholarship Awards
The scholarships were established to help contribute towards Ngāpuhi students realising their potential and fulfilling their dreams for academic success. Kā Pūtea Tertiary Scholarships and Grants
Tertiary education grants are available to Ngāi Tahu whānau pursuing higher education.
Scholarships and grants are available to all registered Ngāi Tahu iwi members. There are two types of funding to support iwhānau who are studying at tertiary level.

Te Waiu O Aotearoa Trust Scholarship
Westpac’s Te Waiu O Aotearoa Trust was established to promote, develop, and provide for the education and advancement of Māori within the banking, finance, and general business industries.
To be eligible for Scholarship, applicants must be in their final year of school, be of Māori descent and iwi registered, preferably fluent in te reo Māori, and intending to enrol in a general business-related degree appropriate for a banking career at a tertiary institution in the following year.
