Vide paper read first above orders were issued implementing the revised syllabus of M.A. Political Science Semester Course with effect from 2010 Admission.
Vide U O read second above, the Rules and Regulations of CUCSS was implemented in the affiliated colleges.
Considering the introduction of the Calicut University Credit Semester System (CUCSS) in affiliated colleges with effect from 2010 admission, the Board of Studies in Political Science (PG) at its meeting held on 10.06.2010 vide paper read 3rd above, resolved to approve the curriculum and syllabus of M.A. Political Science, (CUCSS) to be implemented in the affiliated colleges with effect from 2010 Admission.
The Academic Council at its meeting held on 03.07.2010, vide paper read 4th
above, resolved to approve the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Studies in Political Science (PG) held on 10.06.2010.
Consequent to the Academic Council decision of implementing CUCSS in the affiliated colleges, with effect from 2010 Admission , the U. O. read first above stands cancelled.
Orders are therefore issued implementing the syllabus of M.A. Political Science programme CUCSS – Semester course – with effect from 2010 Admission in the affiliated colleges, of the University.

M. A. POLITICAL SCIENCE (2010 Admission onwards)
Structure of the Programme
The programme shall include two types of courses viz Core Courses and Elective
Courses. Each course shall have 4 credits. Project/Dissertation and Viva Voce shall
be 8 credits. The students have to choose 2 elective courses each in 3rd and 4th
semesters. The minimum requirements of attendance during a semester shall be 75%
for each course.

Evaluation
The evaluation scheme for each paper shall contain two parts:
(1) Internal evaluation - 25%
(2) External evaluation - 75%
The question paper may contain short answer questions, paragraph questions and
essay questions of 1,2, and 4 weight respectively
