The UFV Alumni Association celebrates Convocation 2017 with this special limited-edition commemorative wine. Our goal is to foster lifelong relationships between alumni and UFV. Special thanks to UFV alumna Nastasha Mol (BFA ’14), whose art appears on the label. Nastasha Mol, a 2014 UFV Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate and a current SFU Masters of Education student, investigates nature, social change, and cultural issues using painting, textiles, sculpture, and stone carving. Her work has been featured in several group and solo exhibitions. The artwork featured on this year’s Alumni Commemorative Wine label was inspired by the transitory state between the seasons on BC’s west coast. Titled Liminality—from the Latin word limen, meaning “a threshold”—this piece captures a moment within this liminal state of ephemerality and engages the viewer with the movement, colour, and transience of nature.
