Forewordfrica is the world’s biggest youth reservoir. It has no shortage of talented and highly ambitious young people, or of opportunities for them to

study at the university of their dreams. The best universities in the world are showing an increasing amount of interest in students from Sub-Saharan Africa, and the number of scholarships available to

help these students finance their studies is also growing fast.

In spite of this, African students are still under-represented in these universities. There are still huge challenges to overcome in gaining admission, for two reasons: the students do not receive adequate preparation at secondary level, and the universities in question have little confidence in the qualifications presented by foreign college graduates. For example, in the United States, which is the country most open to international students, there are only 31,000 students from sub-Saharan Africa out of a total of 900,000 foreign students.

Enko Education has set itself a challenge: to reverse this trend, and improve access to these prestigious universities for students from sub-Saharan Africa, with the aim of helping them to have a significant social and economic impact on their continent. Those who choose to return to their country of origin will benefit from better job opportunities, an improved professional network, and excellent entrepreneurial skills. Those who prefer to stay in the country where they completed their studies will have the opportunity to gain more experience and earn a better salary, and will be able to support their families at home.

We designed the Enko Education schools with this in mind. We offer top-quality international programmes leading to globally recognised qualifications, a university admissions counselling programme to guide our students through the university applications process, and a unique educational experience.

Enko Education offers an international education that is more accessible financially, throughout all of Africa, with the aim of providing its learners with a springboard to the best universities in the world.

The Enko schools offer students a unique, top-quality educational experience, intended tohelp their learners develop into students with an open mind, who want to build a better world.

Qualified and accredited staffThe Enko Education schools are IB accredited and/or Cambridge International Examinations schools,

or are in the process of becoming so. They follow a rigorous accreditation process, and undergo regular inspection visits. Our establishments are managed by experienced directors, and our teachers, in addition to the initial training provided by IB that is essential for our accreditation, receive an average of one hundred hours of educational training each year.

MultilingualThe Enko Education schools focus on multilingual skills in order to prepare their learners for living and working in a global environment. Depending on

the school in question, the International Baccalaureate may be offered in either English or French as a first language (or language A). Many other languages, including Chinese, German, Portuguese and Zulu, may also be offered as a second language (language B).

Access to newtechnologiesEnko Education promotes a modern education using new technologies. Our

students have access to computers, resource centres, and wifi in the classroom. They also benefit from high-quality infrastructure, such as science labs fitted out to international standards.

African andinternational awarenessEnko Education respects and promotes African cultural diversity at the

same time as preparing its learners to live in a global environment and adapt to a world that is constantly changing.

I discovered that my daughter has a strong personality and is comfortable expressing herself confidently in front of an audience, even in English. We must increase these initiatives, because I truly believe that Africa needs more Enko schools to prepare the adults of the future."

Cyrille Nkontchou graduated from Sciences Po and Harvard, and Eric Pignot is a graduate of HEC Paris and MIT.

They created Enko Education to combat the under-representation of sub-Saharan African students in these elite universities. Their vision is to enable talented young people in Africa to realise their potential, by offering them a top-

quality international education.

Every member of the team is a graduate of one of the prestigious universities that our learners dream

of attending: Sciences Po, MIT, Harvard, HEC Paris, etc.

Our knowledge of the specific features and requirements of these universities is an asset, enabling us to support our

students more effectively.

Our heads of school come from all corners of the globe (Canada, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Nigeria and India). All of them have vast international experience in the area of education and have managed prestigious schools before joining Enko Education. They are responsible for teacher training, obtaining IB and Cambridge certificates, and professional development of the staff.

The whole team, both in the schools and at head office, is fully dedicated to carrying out Enko’s mission: to provide access to the best universities in the world for more African learners. We work on a daily basis to embody the Enko Education values: to be inquirer, committed, caring, and daring.
