The university has earned recognition and respect for quality and relevance of research as evident by the

fact that various ministries of government of India (including ministry of Defense, Science & Technology,

Food Processing, Biotechnology, etc.) have sponsored research projects to the members of facility in

different disciplines. For strengthening the management education in this part of the country, the

university, with support from Haryana Government, has established in 2007-08 Haryana School of

Business (HSB) by merging the then Department of Business Management and Business Economics, with

governance structure akin to IIMs. .

The School is governed by a Governing Board, comprising of academics, industrialists and other

professionals whose expertise in their respective fields add value and give directions to the pursuits of

HSB. The School is endowed with well qualified and experienced faculty and state-of-the-art

infrastructure expected at a good Business School.

The HSB has been pioneering in introducing annual conferences on business and management research,

annual workshop on research methodology for university and college teachers, publication of reputed

journal “HSB Research Review”, and a host of innovative programme by the students.

As Vice-Chancellor and as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the School, I welcome the new entrant-
