To give you unlimited access to your financial information, your Financial Adviser has chosen our award-winning True Potential Wealth Platform.

This online tool will allow you to view current valuations of your portfolio, review performance, read important documents, communicate directly and securely with your Financial Adviser and even top up your savings, whenever and wherever you choose using our unique ImpulseSave® feature.

You’ll also be able to see an aggregated view of your bank accounts by simply linking them to your system.

To help get you started, we’ve put together this step-by-step guide.

You can view your details on a number of devices:

Select your access method.

Enter access details provided by your Financial Adviser.

If it is your first login, leave the passphrase blank.

Valuations for all your assets will be requested.

Changes to your portfolio value will be compared to your previous login.

The following functionality is used throughout the site.

Click to expand and view your portfolio in more detail.

Indicating an increase or decrease in portfolio values.

Click on a specific tab to access the details for that portion of your portfolio.

By selecting ‘Help’ in the top menu you will be presented with information about that specific section. To hide the icons, simply click ‘Help’ again.

3 Common functionality

Use the calendar to select the date range you would like to review your portfolio over.

You can also set a default date range for future site visits using the drop down options provided.

After changing the date range for your valuations, you can select ‘Run’ to generate updated valuations.

Select this button if you’d like to export the details of your portfolio to a .csv file.

How to use the charts

Each tab within the ‘Performance Graphs’ section offers you a different way to see how your investments are performing.

The options available are:

Performance: The value of your individual accounts over the select date rate.

Performance weighted return: The compound month-on-month change in value (including all cash in and outflows), shown as a percentage, over the select date rate.

Monthly value: The total monthly value of all holdings over the select date range.

Monthly change: The increase/decrease in the total value of all holdings by month for the select date rate.

Asset allocation: The current breakdown of your account in percentage terms across asset classes.

Performance Charts

Hover your mouse over different data points to see a particular value.

Click specific items on the key below the chart to hide/display data.

Click and drag your mouse over different data points to show only these dates.

Pie Charts

Hover your mouse over different segments to see a particular value.

Click a segment to ‘separate’ it from the rest of the chart.

Click ‘Portfolio’.

Click the £ icon to obtain a current valuation.

Click the different classes and subsequent plans to obtain more detailed information.

Click the graph icon in Android and Blackberry to view performance history.

Click the “Full Portfolio” button to expand and view your valuation summary.

Review your Wealth Platform, investment, other wrap and pension performance.

Use charting functionality described in Step 4 to further analyse.

Click a particular account, plan or product to view more information about each portfolio type.

Tab over to ‘Other’ to review your details for non-investment and protection plans, plus details of any assets and liabilities that your Financial Adviser may have recorded.

Use this page to view the following information for your Wealth Platform:

Total Investment is the net figure of all capital additions to the account (‘Investment in’), less any capital withdrawals (‘Investment out’).

The value of your account, applied from close of business, the previous working day.

The difference between your total investment and the current value.

The change in value since your last login.

How much you first invested into the account.

Your initial investment plus any changes in value.

Measures the compound growth rate in the value of all funds invested in the account taking into account all additions and deductions over the measurement period. MWRR uses the average of capital invested during the measurement period which is then used to calculate the return over the same period of time.

Measures the compound growth rate of return over a given time period,eliminating the effects of additions and deductions. TWRR provides a way of measuring the performance of different accounts in which cash flows may vary considerably.

View the allocated split for you and associated clients.

Use charting functionality described in Step 4 to further analyse.

Click an individual account to analyse an account in more depth. See Step 6b. for more information.

Review performance across a specific account:

Term: How long you told your Financial Adviser you would like to invest for.

Investment Target: The amount you told your Financial Adviser you would like to see your investment grow during the term. Click the magnifying glass to show/hide the objective on the performance chart.

Attitude: The attitude to risk that you recorded with your Financial Adviser.

Review the funds that are invested in your account:

Start Date: The date your account was opened.

Investment In: The total of all capital inputs to an account, including lump sum and regular contributions, as well as tax relief payments in the case of pension accounts, but excluding dividends, interest and fund management charge rebates.

Investment Out: The total of all capital withdrawals from an account, including lump sum and regular withdrawals, but excluding all fees and charges.

Units: The amount of units that your account holds.

Unit Price: The value of each unit.

Current Value: The value of this fund. Applied from close of business, the previous working day.

Click ‘Transaction History’ to view a statement of all financial movements within your account.

7 ImpulseSave®

Feature not yet available on the iPhone and iPad apps.

With ImpulseSave®, unique to True Potential, you can top up your existing Individual Savings Accounts (ISA’s) and General Investment Accounts at the touch of a button.

You can add as little as £10, or as much as needed to keep your investments in line with your goals.

And, by topping up as often as possible, you can grow your money faster and reach your goals sooner.

Alongside eligible accounts you will see an ‘Impulse Save’ button. By clicking on this, you can add to your account at fund level or at account level.

You decide how much, when and where you want to save. It’s that easy.

8a Select ‘Manage Details’ tab.

To give you a more complete view of your finances, you can now link up bank accounts to your client website.

By doing so, you’ll have a consolidated view of all banking and credit card information in one convenient place. You’ll also be able to analyse and track your spending across multiple accounts.

To add an account

Click ‘Add New Account’

Type in the name of the Provider and select ‘Search Provider’

‘Select Provider’ from dropdown list

After you’ve selected the provider, the system will connect with them. You will then be asked to input the access details required to populate your site. Once that’s done, click ‘Submit’

After you’ve successfully added all your accounts, your details will be displayed.

This functionality is currently not available to all clients. Please speak to your adviser if you would like access.

Along with viewing your bank accounts and credit card balances, you can also analyse and track your incoming and outgoing funds.

Using charts

Chart type: View your accounts by Account and by Category.

Show entries: You can choose the number of past transactions you would like to see.

This functionality is currently not available to all clients. Please speak to your adviser if you would like access.

Select the ‘Documents’ tab.

All True Potential Wealth Platform documents are held here, along with any folders that your Financial Adviser chooses to share with you.

Any documents which have not been viewed will be placed in ‘Unopened documents’. All other documents will be placed in ‘All documents’.

Click a document to:

Open document: Opens a PDF version of your document.

Add to folder: Add this document into a folder you have created.

Allow adviser access: Give your Financial Adviser a view of this document (only applicable if you personally added a document).

Delete document: Removes the document.

Close menu: Closes the menu.

Create a new folder by clicking ‘New folder’; enter a name you would like to use and then select ‘Create folder’.

Choose ‘Edit folders’ to rename or delete any folders you have created.

Upload and share new documents10 Select ‘Documents’ and choose the ‘Upload’ button.

Upload documents from your hard drive, give a description, allocate to a folder and choose to share or hide from your Financial Adviser.

Capture documents on the move using your smart phone or iPad.

Click the ‘allow adviser access’ option to share files with your Financial Adviser.

Use Secure Messaging to safely send and receive messages between you and your Financial Adviser.

Select the ‘Secure Messages’ tab to compose and read messages.

Any messages which have not been read can be viewed from ‘Unread messages’. All other messages can be found in ‘All received’.

Click a message to:

View item: Open the message, then reply, delete or mark as unread.

Move to folder: Add the message to a folder you have created.

Close menu: Closes the menu.

Create a new folder by clicking ‘New folder’; enter a name you would like to use and then select ‘Create folder’.

Choose ‘Edit folder’ to rename or delete any folders you have created.

You will receive an email notification when receiving a new message.

Within the ‘Manage Details’ tab, you can complete the following:

Personal Details: Click to view and update the personal details your Financial Adviser holds. Your Financial Adviser will be notified of any changes you make.

Adviser Contact Details:Click this option to contact your Financial Adviser in a number of ways.

Login Details:Choose this tab to reset your password or passphrase.

One of my policies isn’t listed. How can I get this on my site?It is likely that your Financial Adviser does not have authority to access information relating to this policy or plan. Please contact your Adviser who will make arrangements to add this.

How often is my portfolio updated?Every time you login to your website a new real time valuation is requested, updating the information and valuations to close of business on the previous working day.

Can my financial adviser see my banking and credit card details?Only you can create your own passphrase. This means that no one can access your account unless you provide them with it.

Is my site secure?Yes, as soon as you login you are protected with 128 bit secure socket layer – the same level encryption which protects your online banking, for instance.

What happens to my bank account information if I choose to remove it?Once your request has been received, your information will be securely and permanently deleted from our database. You can also request, via your Financial Adviser, to close your site down.

How is my account information protected from “hackers” or outside intrusion?This site is hosted on servers with network-based intrusion detection systems (IDS) provide 24x7 network monitoring, alerting us to any external attempts to access the network. In addition, multiple layers of firewalls are used to guard against unauthorised access to the network.
