We have been busy finalising the transla�on of the factsheet on the Roadmap to Achieving Universal Health Coverage by 2030. To check out your ownlanguage, click here.
At the end of January, the European Commission presented a legisla�ve proposal on health technology assessment (HTA). Read more about EPF’s firstreac�on on advancing towards permanent coopera�on on HTA, including mandatory uptake of joint clinical assessments.
On 2 February, we organised an educa�onal workshop for pa�ent representa�ves from our member organisa�ons on the topic of pharmaceu�calincen�ves, to understand be�er the complex technical dimensions of incen�ves, and intellectual property, and enable them to contribute to the currentEU poli�cal debate on the topic from a pa�ent perspec�ve.
Together with a coali�on of Brussels-based health stakeholders, EPF held a joint mee�ng to discuss how to priori�se pa�ent safety and public health inthe Brexit nego�a�ons. Read more here.
We also a�ended the first working mee�ng of CHRODIS-Plus in Treviso, Italy. The project, that follows up on the key findings of the Joint Ac�on CHRODIS,focuses on the dissemina�on and implementa�on of policy and prac�ces to improve the management of chronic diseases in Europe.
Our Youth Group Vice-President, Yolita, spoke at an event of the “Brain, Mind and Pain” group last 21 February at the European Parliament, where youngpa�ents and policy makers came together to share recommenda�ons and find solu�ons to #makeworkwork for young people with chronic diseases.
This month we announced our new Capacity Building Module on Empowering Leadership and Posi�ve Governance open to all EPF members, membersof its members and pa�ent organisa�ons interested in learning to lead their organisa�ons more effec�vely and ensure greater impact.
From European to Na�onal. One of the core ac�vi�es for EUPATI in 2018 is the con�nued support for growing network of EUPATI Na�onal Pla�orms(ENPs). Read more about the plans for capacity building of the pla�orms.
In our blog, Alzheimer Europe shares their two new publica�ons: a compara�ve report on “Standards for residen�al care facili�es in Europe” and adiscussion paper called “Demen�a as a disability?
