Happy New Year!!!! I hope everyone had a great break. We are excited to be back and can’t wait to start the year off strong.January is an exciting time here at EverGreen Academy. We have been preparing for accreditation through WRISA (Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation). We will have a team of 6 members from WRISA visiting our school from January 25th – 27th. The team will tour our school as well as visit the classrooms to observe what and how we are teaching the students. Your children are already used to people coming in and out of their classrooms so this shouldn’t be too bothersome to them. The accreditation process is important to EverGreen Academy because it will prove that we are a great school and that we meet the regulations set by DPI (Department of Public Instruction). This process not only allow us to show off our awesome school, but allows us to keep building toward our future and for the next accreditation process in 7 years. Thank you for all your support. If you have any questions regarding this process, please give us a call. GO EAGLES!!!!! Principal Meier

Mrs. Quinn’s 5KIn Mrs. Quinn's class we have been hard at work learning. We are adding numbers and objects all the way to 20 now! To help us remember our 20 sight words, we have been spelling out each word with our bodies, along with playing a lot of fun games where we are recognizing and spelling them correctly. We have also been working on re-telling stories by acting them out in Reader's Theatre to help us build our reading comprehension. The kids especially loved our study of trees though. We brought all aspects of learning into our S.T.E.M. Study (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics-We even added in some Writing and Spelling by journaling about our experiences!) We studied how shapes are made, what shapes we see in trees, and we even created our own 3-D tree structures!
Mrs. Muhaimin 3rd Grade
In November, 3rd grade went to the Golden Rondelle Theater to experience a real-life drama from the early days of space exploration and learn about the science of space travel. We learned about the science, technology, engineering and math involved in manned spaceflight. When we returned to school, we set out to discover more about space and the astronauts/cosmonauts who made space history. We have been working on reports since that day about various astronauts from America and Russia. Here are some pictures of the work that they have been doing.
Ms. Coca’s 5th Grade
Hello everyone and welcome back to school! Fifth grade worked very hard over vacation and created some awesome book reports! They presented in front of the class which made them quite nervous but all did a great job! We have been working very hard on fiction and non-fiction, and they were able to choose which book they wanted to read this time around. Here are some of the book reports the kids did! Enjoy and Happy New Year!
Student Council
Student Council has been very busy since the beginning of the school year. We have had at least one project going on each month.
This school years Student Council began in October with Student Council elections. The officers were nominated and began companing throughout the school. Elections were held at both buildings after each candidate had a chance to address the students on their ideas for helping the school.
November was spent planning the school spelling bee. We earned money for spelling bee trophies by selling hot chocolate at recess.
In December student council held the spelling bee and Breezy Uick won! She will represent the school at a regional spelling bee in February.
For January, we are planning an art contest!!!There will be more information coming out about this soon.
