Why would a scarecrow want to swap his hat? We found out why in the story The Scarecrow’s Hat. We sequenced the story, made a hat for our scarecrows and took a comprehension test too. Why do leaves change colors and fall off of the trees? We found out after reading Leaf Trouble. We did leaf rubbings and made our leaves into something just like Lois Ehlert did in her book Leaf Man.
