Update on the Ministries in India and Myanmar August 2016 In the mountains of Sathyamanagalam In 2015, we met, for the first time, Brethren from the mountain areas outside of Coimbatore. Two of the elders of this group attended the Conference in Coimbatore that year and then decided to officially join CGBCIndia. Last month on July 3 rd , these Brethren observed threefold communion. Brother Stephen is leading this group and they have already reached into neighboring villages. Some in one village are participating in a Bible study there and the plan is to begin a church with those who come to Christ through the Bible study. Please pray for this outreach effort. Brother Paul joined the Brethren in Sathymanagalam on July 3 rd for their threefold communion service. He reports that more of the believers there have been baptized by trine immersion. As you may remember from last month’s update, the Foreign Mission Panel endorsed a written plan for a joint partnership between the CGBCI and the churches of the Southern Chin Brethren Fellowship in Myanmar. The purpose is to plant churches among tribal people groups in the country of Myanmar. The written plan also includes that pastors Ike Graham and Bryan Maley return to Myanmar in January to teach trine immersion and threefold communion while at the same time demonstrating to the pastors and churches how we carry out these commands by our Lord. We are in need of your prayers and finances for this trip and to accomplish these goals. You may send financial gifts for the ministry in India and Myanmar to: CGBCI Foreign Missions P.O. Update on the Ministries in India and Myanmar August 2016

In the mountains of Sathyamanagalam

In 2015, we met, for the first time, Brethren from the

mountain areas outside of Coimbatore. Two of the elders of this group attended the Conference in Coimbatore

that year and then decided to officially join CGBCIndia.

Last month on July 3rd, these Brethren observed threefold communion. Brother Stephen is leading this

group and they have already reached into neighboring

villages. Some in one village are participating in a Bible

study there and the plan is to begin a church with those who come to Christ through the Bible study. Please pray

for this outreach effort.

Brother Paul joined the Brethren in Sathymanagalam on

July 3rd for their threefold communion service. He reports that more of the believers there have been

baptized by trine immersion.

As you may remember from last month’s update, the

Foreign Mission Panel endorsed a written plan for a joint

partnership between the CGBCI and the churches of the Southern Chin Brethren Fellowship in Myanmar. The

purpose is to plant churches among tribal people groups

in the country of Myanmar. The written plan also

includes that pastors Ike Graham and Bryan Maley

return to Myanmar in January to teach trine immersion and threefold communion while at the same time

demonstrating to the pastors and churches how we carry

out these commands by our Lord. We are in need of

your prayers and finances for this trip and to accomplish these goals.

You may send financial gifts for the ministry in India and
