From the Snowman Panel - Red/Gray (A), fussy cut:• (1) 19” x 29 ½” large panel, centered on the snowman.• (1) 19” x 6” small panel, centered on the words “JOY”.• (1) 19” x 6” small panel, centered on the candy canes.

From the Plaid - Red (B), cut:• (3) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 4 ½” x 52 ½” strips.• (3) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 4 ½” x 49 ½” strips.• (2) 3” x 29 ½” WOF strips.• (2) 2 ½” x 24” WOF strips.• (1) 2 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 2 ½” x 6” strips.• (4) 2 ¼” x 23” WOF strips.

From the Novelty Stripe - Red/Gray (C), cut:• (1) 9” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 9” x 8 ½” strips. From the Candy Cane Snowflakes - White/Multi (D), cut:• (2) 4 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (32) 2 ½” x 4 ½” strips.• (2) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (32) 2 ½” squares.• (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 50 ½” strips.• (2) 1 ½” x 41 ½” WOF strips.• (2) 1 ½” x 39 ½” WOF strips.

From the Snowflake - Red (E), cut:• (4) 2 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (64) 2 ½” squares.

From the Holiday Tags Allover - Gray (F), cut:• (1) 4 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 4 ½” squares.

From the Branches - Gray (G), cut:• (1) 4 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 4 ½” squares.

From the Scroll - Gray (H), cut:• (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

From the Scroll - Red (Backing), cut:• (2) 57” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 57” x 68” back.

Sewing Instructions1. Sew (1) 3” x 29 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the 19” x 29 ½” Fabric A large panel. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 24” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A large panel. Trim the block to measure 23 ½” x 32 ½” to make (1) Block One rectangle (Fig. 1).

2. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 6” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 19” x 6” Fabric A small panel. Sew (1) 2 ¼” x 23” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A small panel. Trim the block to measure 22 ½” x 8 ½” to make (1) Block Two rectangle (Fig. 2). Repeat to make a second Block Two rectangle.

Quilt Top Assembly (Refer to the Quilt Layout while assembling.)8. Sew (1) 9” x 8 ½” Fabric C strip to each end of (1) Block Two rectangle (words “JOY”) to make the Top Row. Repeat to make the Bottom Row (candy canes).

9. Sew (2) Block Three squares and (2) Block Four squares together, alternating them. Sew the new strip to the left side of the Block One rectangle. Sew (2) Block Four squares and (2) Block Three squares together, alternating them. Sew the new strip to the right side of the Block One rectangle. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 39 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Block One rectangle to make the Middle Row.

10. Sew the (3) rows together to make the Center Block.

11. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 50 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 41 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

12. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 52 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 49 ½” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top.

13. Layer and quilt as desired.

14. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric H strips together, end to end with 45-degrees seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

15. Bind as desired.

3. Place (1) 2 ½” Fabric E square on the left side of (1) 2 ½” x 4 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together (Fig. 3). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 3). Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 4). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance.

4. Place another 2 ½” Fabric E square on the right side of the 2 ½” x 4 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together (Fig. 5). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 5). Flip open the triangle formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance to make (1) Unit 1 strip (Fig. 6).

5. Repeat Steps 3-4 to make (32) Unit 1 strips total.

6. Sew (1) Unit 1 strip to each side of (1) 4 ½” Fabric F square. Sew (1) 2 ½” Fabric D square to each end of (1) Unit 1 strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric F strip to make (1) Block Three square (Fig. 7). Repeat to make (4) Block Three squares total.

7. Sew (1) Unit 1 strip to each side of (1) 4 ½” Fabric G square. Sew (1) 2 ½” Fabric D square to each end of (1) Unit 1 strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric G strip to make (1) Block Four square (Fig. 8). Repeat to make (4) Block Four squares total.
