and teacher.

Sister Stevie’s fishing spot

This serene area was the favorite fishing spot of Sister Marie Steven Reges, O.P.,

beloved teacher at Edgewood College.

Lake Jewel Spring

The Lake Jewel Spring was uncovered by Tim Andrews

and Jim Lorman in 2005.

Bear Mound

This large Bear mound represents the Earth Spirit, the symbol of the

Bear Clan. The bear’s head has been cut off by the roadbed, but the body and legs are still visible here.

Dominican Hall, first opened in 2007, is the first residence hall in Wisconsin to achieve

Silver LEED status – for Leadership & Excellence in Environmental Design. Among the many energy-efficient features are solar thermal water heating panels; motion detecting efficiency lighting, and a passive Solar orientation.

Real world smart.

Different situations call for different leadership approaches. It is important for a leaders to know what type of leadership approach will be most effective given a groups development or a situation. This workshop will explore various leadership styles while caving in Popp’s Cave. We will use the unique environment of the cave as our classroom and practice different leadership styles. While your clothes will get muddy, your mind will gain clarity as you learn new techniques to being a strong leader.

During this weekend camping trip you will have the opportunity to gain leadership skills and tools while sleeping outside in a tent, hiking through the Wisconsin landscape, and cooking over a camp stove. We’ll explore personal values and integrity, practice conflict resolution skills, and examine strategies for leading effective meetings. Camping experience not required.

Risk taking is an essential part of being a leader, yet it is often difficult due to an uncertain outcome. Gain a greater understanding of the importance of taking appropriate risks, explore your own comfort zone, and learn how to develop a safe environment that encourages others to take risks. Then, put it all into practice while climbing at Boulders Climbing Gym. No climbing experience needed.

Effective teams have a strong sense of community that helps them meet their goals. They trust and rely on each other. In this workshop you will learn what makes a strong community and develop ideas you can use when you get back to campus. We will explore these ideas while snowshoeing through the winter wonderland in Wisconsin. Play in the snow while you play with new ideas about teams and community.
