Uploading Accreditation Certificates
STEP
1Access the Maryland EXCELS system at excels.marylandexcels.org and log in using the email address and password
created during account setup.
If you have misplaced or forgotten your password, select the link for
“Reset/forgot my password.”

2Select Work on my rating.
Select Exit Step-By-Step.

Maryland EXCELS gives programs credit for components that have been satisfied by Maryland Accreditation and/or Maryland State Department of Education recognized national accreditation. Programs will upload proof of current accreditation to have the Alternative Pathway applied to their account.

4Select Accreditation and Rating Scales (ACR) from the content
areas, then select ACR 1: Accreditation.

5Select Add a New File,
then select Add file.
Note: Photographs of the programs current certificate of accreditation is acceptable
as long as all required information (accrediting
organization, program name, and expiration date)
is legible.

6Locate your Accreditation
Certificate, highlight the file then select Open.
Tip: Save your accreditation certificate in a digital format where it is easily accessible
and identifiable.

7Select Save.

8When you see your file listed,
select Submit for review. This will alert your Program
Coordinator that your certificate is ready for review.
