RMPF: Identity and Stationery MaterialsRM Production Firm is a theater and film set-building and construction coordination company located in the Bay Area. The client wanted their identity to reflect the behind-the-scenes nature of their business while still acknowledging the theatrical side as well. Varying silhouettes of construction workers were superimposed over a rusty, distressed background to symbolize a hands-on approach, and theater lighting (also a big part of the business) illustrated the field they were involved in without being too obvious.

Kira Stewart Photography: Stationery SystemKira Stewart is a high-end photographer that wanted a more organic, upscale look than other photographers she had seen in her price range, and she didn’t want to show photography on her business card. The pattern is taken from Victorian wallpaper found in her studio.

California Youth Symphony OrchestraCalifornia Youth Symphony Orchestra needed a promotional booklet highlighting the energy and excitement of their organization, while also showcasing their star conductor and musicians for the year. This design direction took a playful tone, contrasting the perceived “serious” approach of orchestra with the exuberant and spirited nature of youth participating in the program.

San Francisco Opera: Renewal Brochure The San Francisco Opera wanted bold and dramatic design for their 2011-2012 season, and this design direction captured the spirit of the upcoming productions.

Entertaining Spaces: Corporate BrochureEntertaining Spaces installs high-end theater and sound systems in homes, and this brochure was specifically targeted towards clients who had recently purchased a Glide or Breezehouse prefab house. These homes of modern designusually appeal to a more sophisticated audience, so the promotional materials had to reflect the sensibilities and lifestyle of the purchaser.

Alexis De Tocquville/United WayInvitation design for the ADT Society Philanthropists of the year awards. The client requested an elegant invitation that focused on a vineyard theme.

Beverages & More : Coffee ProgramThe client wanted these pieces to be something that consumers “wanted to display in their kitchen”. The resulting 14 designs utilize colorful imagery from each coffee’s area of origin. A continuing “letter” appeared on the back of each package describing an explorer’s quest to find the perfect coffee. I created the design, much of the illustration, and wrote copy for all 14 packages.

Beverages & More: House BrandingBeverages & More needed a modular branding system that would work with a variety of snacks and packaging solutions. This design combines category color coding with a highly flexible layout and was featured in Print magazine.

Earth Day Marin 2010The Earth Day Marin Committee wanted a poster that was fun, colorful and promoted all aspects of their event in one image. I felt a tree could precisely illustrate all ”branches” of the event!

Catholic Cemeteries, Diocese of San Jose: WebsiteThe Diocese of San Jose needed a website that laid out the different burial options for their parishoners, but didn’t want a site that felt depressing or morbid. The resulting site instead utilized a bright color palette and focused on family, nature and responsible planning.
