The Directors

JEFFREY TANGEMAN (Director) Previous directing credits include: New York City (Off and Off-off Broadway) After The Glory, The Confirmation (Fi­nalist: 2003 Samuel French OOB Short Play Festival), Henry V, Boys in the Backroom, as well as the premiere productions of The Turn Down, Strained Relationships, Blind Tom {Workshop}, The Beau Defeated, An Unhappy Woman, The Triumpph of the West, Dinner at Ate, and Escape From Bond­age (Historical Chronology of Frederick Douglass). The former Producing Artistic Director of Black Box Productions in NYC and Artistic Director for the New Play Developmental Series with Love Creek Productions (also in NYC), Jeffrey has directed regionally with such companies as The Source Theatre (D.C.), Nebraska Repertory Theatre, The New Theatre (Miami), Huntington Rep., Orpheus Theatre, and Heartland Theatre. His regional credits include: Lend Me a Tenor, Kiss Me Kate, The Mikado, Humble Boy, The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr{abrgd), Never the Sinner: The Leo­pold and Loeb Story, The Little Prince, and Footloose. He has also directed in the university and conservatory arenas w ith such productions as: Meta­morphoses (Zimmerman), Hedda Gabler, Inspecting Carot Marisol, The Laramie Project, Noises Off, Tartuffe, The Taming of the Shrew, Much Ado About Nothing, Lydie Breeze, and Sweet Charity. Jeffrey currenrly teaches Directing, Acting and Script Analysis at EIU where he will also direct next semester's production of Noises Off. Jeffrey also serves as an Advisory Board Member and former Chair of the Board of Directors for The Indepen­dent Theatre Collective in Wheeling, WV (his birthplace!) and is a proud member of the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers (SSDC

JAY IVEY is a doctoral candidate in vocal performance and literature at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. He also holds degrees from the University of Illinois (voice) and Shorter College (piano). He has been seen in such operatic roles as Rigoletto, Lescaut (ManonL the title roles of Don Giovanni and Gianni Schicchi, Morales (Carmen), and Maximillian in Candide with Jerry Hadley. He is also an active music director in the area, recently for such productions as Fiddler on the Roof, Nine, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Oklahoma, and Day Boy Night Girl. Other professional music theatre credits include My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Little Shop of Hor­rors, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Feathers in the Wind. He teaches voice, music theatre/opera, and lyric diction here at Eastern.

Choreographer Allison Fischer is a native of Charleston, IL and grew up dancing and leach-ing at the Jacqueline Bennett Dance Center. After high school graduation, she signed a contract with the Mid-Illinois Ballet Company !now known as USA Ballet Company) and danced, taught and toured all over the United Stoles for 5 years. Some of the ballets she performed were Nutcracker and Giselle. Allison finished an Associates Degree at Lake Land College and also did choreography for Charleston High School productions of Dames at Sea and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. She also did the choreography for A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum at Eastern Illinois University. After finishing a Bachelors Degree in Dance Performance at Illinois Stole University, Allison was asked to head up the Ballet program at the Dance Life Center. Allison is thrilled to be working for the Eastern Illinois University's Theatre Deportment again.

Stage Manager and Assistants

Senior Jen Holdefer !Stage Manager) will be taking her journey to the next phose of her life in December of 20 l 0 when she graduates from Eastern Illinois Universi­ty. Jen has enjoyed the four years she has spent here at Eastern. She would like to thank her Dod and Grandparents for their unfailing support as well as her entire theatre family here at Eastern Illinois University. She wishes the cast and crew great success with the entire run of Urinetown.

Dominique Dixon !Assistant Stage Manager) is a Junior Theatre Major. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her dreams of becoming on actress since middle school.

Hilary Shields !Assistant Stage Manager) is a Junior History major from Beech­er City, IL. This is her debut at working behind the scenes with the Theatre Dept.

The Cast

Andrew R. Buel is pursuing Teacher Certification in Theatre Arts and Music. Andrew is a Junior at EIU who has token on the role of Colibon in The Tempest, Jonathon Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, and most recently Rabbi in Fiddler on the Roof. He would like to thank his parents and high school fine arts instruc­tors!

Rachoel Sopp is a Freshman coming from Tuscola IL. Rachoel is making her EIU stage debut! She has previously played roles in Honk/, Little Shop of Horrors as

Audrey, Bye Bye Birdie as Kim McAfee, and Rumors as Cookie.

Joseph R Amato is a Senior Music major. He is on active member in the M usic Deportment and was lost seen onstoge as Lazor Wolf in EIU's spring production of Fiddler on the Roof. He would like to thank his family and is looking forward to wedding his fiancee, Emily, in July.

Andrew Swanson is a Sophomore Theatre Performance major and Communica­tion minor. Andrew has previously been seen on the EIU stage in Fiddler on the Roof and The Tempest and is a recipient of the Excellence in Fine Arts Award.

He would like to thank his friends and fam ily for their constant support!

Molly Manhart, a Junior from Strasburg IL, is a Theatre Arts major in Per­formance and Tech. Molly is on active member of the EIU productions both onsloge and in the scene shop. She has previously been seen in lost fall produc­tion of Step on a Crack and in the spring musical Fiddler on the Roof.

Koty Howley, a 2007 EIU Alum, has returned to EIU for Teacher Certification in Theatre Arts and Family Consumer Science. Her last role at EIU was Domino in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. She would like to thank the Wolskis and the entire Theatre Department for welcoming her bock!

Tom Michael is a Senior Theatre Arts major in Design and Tech. Tom hails from Salem ll. Seen in last spring's musical, Fiddler on the Roof, Tom is no stranger to the EIU stage. He would like to thank, "my family for putting up with me."

Tim Tholl, a Lockport native, is entering his Senior year at EIU as a Theatre Arts major. He has previous appeared onstage in Fiddler on the Roof, The Tempest, and received an Irene Ryan Nomination for his portrayal of Jason in Medea. He is also a member of Hello Dali lmprov troupe. He would like to thank his family, friends, professors, and especially David Wolski for being a hoss.

Brandon Wilson is a native of Greenup ll. Brandon has previously been seen on the EIU stage as Sebastian in The Tempest and Avram in Fiddler on the Roof. He is a Junior Theatre Arts and History major and a minor in Music. He would like to thank friends and family, especially his parents!

Ryan McCain is a Sophomore Theatre Arts Tech major from Palatine, IL and has previous performed on the EIU stage as Nachum in Fiddler on the Roof and Fer­dinand in The Tempest. He would like to thank Susannah Kist, his very supportive family, and the gentlemen of SAE!

Abby Wilburn is a Freshman Special Education major with a Theatre minor. Abby is making her EIU Theatre debut! She has previously worked on shows such as Smokey Joe's Cafe, Footloose, Les Miserables, Blood Brothers, and Tea & Sym­pathy. She would like to thank her family, especially her Dad!

Grant Molen, a Sophomore Theatre Arts major from Taylorville, IL, first debuted on the EIU stage as Mike in The Love Course and the spring production of Incor­ruptible. He is a member of the Hello Dali student improv group and is a recipient of an Honors College Continuing Student Scholarship

Shauna Miller is a Senior English and Theatre Teacher Certification major. Shauna had her EIU stage debut last year as Grandma T zeitel in Fiddler on the Roof. She would like to thank, "my family for being supportive, my brother for being famous with me, and Brandon Wilson for being sensational."

Anthony Boyd, this is Anthony's first EIU performance although he worked as a costume shop runner for Fiddler on the Roof. He is a Sophomore Theatre Arts ma­jor from Harvey, IL and was a participant in the Thorton Speech Team. He would like to thank his family and friends that teach to Live, Love, and Laugh!

Ashley Ruddell was seen in last spring's musical, Fiddler on the Roof and as a goddess in The Tempest. Sophomore Elementary Education major Ashley is once again returning to the EIU stage. She would like to thank, "my family and high school director for pushing me to continue my passion for theatre!"

Claire Pinos, a Freshman Elementary Education major from Darien IL, is excited for her first performance at EIU! She has previously performed elsewhere as Ivy in Bare, Aida in Aida, and Joanne in Rent. She would like to thank the cast and crew of Urinetownl

Camilia Kennett is entering her Junior year as a Music Teacher Certification major. Cam ilia is making her first appearance on the EIU stage in Urinetown. She would like to thank her voice teachers and the university for letting her have this experi­ence!

Meg Borah is entering her first EIU production. Meg is a Freshman Family Con­sumer Science major and is very excited to be a part of Eastern! She has previ­ously participated in Belle and The Candyman at The Little Theatre in Sullivan, IL.

Elyse Waggoner, is a Senior Theatre Arts Performance major. Elyse was last seen in Fiddler on the Roof and The Tempest. She is a Talented Student Award recipient or the Costume Shop and an active member in the EIU Theatre Arts Department. She would like to thank her family and fiance Nicki

N ora Euker was first seen on the EIU stage last spring as Sprinlze in Fiddler on the Roof. Nora is a Sophomore pursuing a duel major in Communication Disorders Science and Theatre Arts. She has been awarded a Talented Student Award in the Scene Shop. She would like to thank her parents, brother, sister, and Mrs. Misikl

Jake Dorencz is a Freshman Business M arketing major with a minor in Advertising. Jake is a native of Romeoville and has had previous acting experience of Plainfield North High School. He would like to thank, "all my friends for supporting my deci­sion to audition for this play!"

Cori Chrislenholz hails from Mattoon, ll. Cori is a Sophomore Biological Science/ Pre-Med major. Her last performance was a Blousy Brown in Bugsy Malone Jr. of The Little Theatre in Sullivan, ll. She would like to thank her parents and grandpar­ents for being so supportive in everything she does!

Caitlin Bieda is a senior theatre arts major. She has recently been seen as lana in Step on a Crack and Shaindel in Fiddler on the Roof. She is a member of Alpha Psi Omega and Hello Doli lmprov troupe. She would like to thank Tri Delta, her friends, her family and her mom and dad for their love and support. Thank you
