US Aviation AcademyDomestic, International & Military Flight Training

Our executive officers, management team and staff are committed to unparalleled customer service in a professional environment. We hire the best of the best; men and women devoted to a job well done.

US Aviation Academy operates an FAA 141 Flight School, Aircraft Maintenance & Parts division, Avionics department and full-service FBO. Through a partnership, we are currently able to brokerage Charter Services. Our Maintenance facility is a factory authorized service center for Diamond and Mooney Aircraft. The Avionics division is a FAA Part 145 repair station that holds factory authorized service certificates with Garmin, Narco, Sandel and others.

In addition to our established domestic base of students, we are working with the University of North Texas (UNT), Denton Airport (DTO), and Tarrant County Community College (TCC), Alliance Airport, North Texas Regional Airport and other strategic growth partners.

As our student population has increased over the last few years, so has our number of instructors and aircraft. We currently boast a fleet of over 70 aircraft with more than 75 instructors. To properly maintain our fleet to the highest standards of safety and performance, we are always improving our maintenance division. By keeping maintenance in house, and not “out-sourcing” this most critical support function to the academy, US Aviation ensures that students are not overly delayed by aircraft repairs.

On September 26, 2011 US Aviation was awarded a multiple-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (FA3002-11-D-0010) for Type 1 Special training (flight training) multiple countries. This contract is 100 percent foreign military sales, Air Education and Training. The contracting activity for this award is Command Contracting Squadron/LGCI, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas.

AF Contract (FA3002-11-D-0010) is for pre-screening foreign military flight training cadets. The foreign military cadets will come from any of the 144 countries that work with the US Air Force and will train at US Aviation for an initial 30 day program that will include 25 hours of flight training and ground school. Upon successful completion of the US Aviation training program the cadets will then continue training with the US Air Force.

US Aviation Academy is one of only a few dozen flight training academies in the world approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CACC). US Aviation has agreements with Shenzhen, Tianjin, Sichuan, Capital, Juneyao and Yangtze River Airlines, in addition to Chinese Aeronautical Universities. We also provide flight training for independent students from India, Saudi, Egypt, Mexico, Columbia and others.

US Aviation Academy’s primary focus is customer service. We maintain the best flight instructor / student ratio in the industry. We also insist on aircraft / student ratio’s designed to enhance timely and safe completion of your individual program. The average student completes the Commercial Pilot Course in 6.5 months. In the last two years we’ve graduated over 350 professional pilots fully prepared for a First Officer position. In addition to our Professional Pilot Program, we’ve trained countless others for their Sport & Private Pilot Licenses (Personal Training Course).

US Aviation Academy is a fully integrated aviation organization recognized internationally as the preferred flight training facility

High Performance Training/ Turbine TransitionUS Aviation Academy’s Multi/High Performance Program/Turbine Transition utilizes Piper Senecas, King Airs, and a Diamond Twin Star 42 with G1000 avionics. The program is comprised of a 3 week, 15hr ground school introduction to regulations, and high altitude conditions. The curriculum covers meteorology, physiology, emergency procedures, aerodynamics and associated charts. The coursework also includes turbine and King Air specific systems with one week on crew resource management training. Students can opt for just the King Air specific part of the ground school (1 week) if the rest is not needed. After completion of ground school, students experience 10 - 20hrs in a King Air C90 depending upon skill and desired outcome of training.

US Aviation Academy is approved by the United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for our Professional Commercial Pilot Training program. US Aviation Academy is recognized as a world-class flight training institution and was listed as a Top 8 High Priority School by the FAA Safety Office. The FAA is universally recognized

as the world standard in aviation authority and administration.

Personal Flight Training

Career Flight Training

Advanced Flight Training

Flight Training Options

At US Aviation Academy we follow the same curriculum for both part 61 and part 141 training. The biggest advantage to training under 141 is that the minimum flight times for each license is reduced which will save you money. We also have 141 self examining authority which means you will take your check ride with one of our senior staff as opposed to the FAA or a DPE.

Under part 61 you can do a self study course where as under 141 you will have to attend ground school. Also if you already have flight training for a certain license or rating you will need to train under part 61 to count all of that flight time.

US Aviation Academy’s personal flight training courses are designed to accommodate someone who is not looking to make a career in aviation. The two options for Personal Flight Training are the Sport Pilot or the Private Pilot courses. The sport license is designed for someone who only wants to fly during the day in good weather conditions. It restricts you to light sport aircraft which only accommodates two people, passenger and pilot. If you would like to be able to fly during night hours, longer distances and in a variety of aircraft then the Private Pilot license is a better choice for you.

US Aviation Academy’s Career Flight Training Courses are designed to train you to be a first officer at the airline. This starts with the private pilot license and then you build from there with the instrument and commercial courses. The Career program begins with the Private Pilot course and continues through the Instrument and Commercial courses.

Part 61 vs. Part 141

US Aviation Academy’s Advanced Training Courses are designed to advance a commercial pilot’s career. This typically starts with obtaining the Certified Flight Instructor certificate then followed by the Instrument Instructor and then the Multi Engine Instructor. Beyond that an individual can complete our Aerobatics and or Turbine/ High Altitude courses.

It is very important that you begin the process of getting your TSA clearance as soon as you decide you are going to train with us. Doing this BEFORE you arrive will ensure a quicker start to your training. The application processing fee for each course is $130.

The name on the credit card used must match the name on the application. If there is no fingerprinting agency located in your home country, you will need to have the fingerprint portion of this process completed after entering the United States. You can verify if there is an agency in your home country by going to the TSA link: www.flightschoolcandidates.gov, and completing the form. An email will be sent to you requesting fingerprints, and you will be given access to a website that will list all fingerprinting agencies. The TSA fee can be paid after you have received approval for your M-1 Student Visa.

If you can secure your fingerprints prior to your arrival, this will enable you to begin your training with little to no delay. If your fingerprinting isnot processed prior to your arrival to the United States, you may delay commencement of your student pilot training up to 45 days.
