MEDICAL EMERGENCIES Dial 911. Immediately notify both the Navy and Army SDOs of emergencies, injuries, and/or illnesses.

ACTION OFFICER – ECRC HQ:

Each Sailor is assigned an Action Officer (AO) based on their Noble Eagle Number (NE #). The AO is your liaison for ULTDUSTA POCs, questions about MOB orders, and ORDMOD requests. See attached AO list for names/contact information or contact the LNO Admin with questions.

NAVY INDIVIDUAL AUGMENTEE (IA) PORTAL:USFF and ECRC HQ have valuable information about the IA process via the Navy Individual Augmentee Portal (http://www.ia.navy.mil/). Select “Active Sailor” or “Reserve Sailor” and “Train & Equip” for NIACT-specific data.

BARRACKS/FACILITIES:

Students are responsible for the daily cleanliness of the barracks, which should be inspection-ready daily. Inspections are performed at the end of each training week, prior to being released for travel, and as needed. Field day specifics and cleaning supplies are posted/maintained in all barracks. Notify NIACT Supply LCPO if supplies are low/out.

Class/Platoon Leaders will provide a schedule for the cleaning of the Laundry Facility (BLDG 3890), Classrooms (BLDGs 3910 & 3912), Computer Lab (BLDG 3931) and the Gym (BLDG 3894).

Laundry Facility (BLDG 3890) is closed to NIACT students Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 0700-2100.

All requests, concerns, questions, etc., are to be communicated to the LNO office as soon as possible in person, by phone or via company leadership.

TRAINING:

Training begins the 1st Sunday after arrival. Training must be completed in its entirety. Any training not completed may result in termination of your orders and non-graduation. Excerpt from In-Brief follows:

CELL PHONES / MP3s / ELECTRONIC DEVICES:

NOT AUTHORIZED DURING TRAINING HOURS, with the exception of assigned Class Leader(s)/Class Senior Enlisted Leader(s).

COMBAT EQUIPMENT/UNIFORMS:

Uniforms or Navy Physical Training Uniform (PTU) will be worn when outside of barracks. Exceptions are when actively engaged in personal physical training at the Camp McCrady Gym or running track, or when on authorized liberty.

When wearing Navy PTU, shirts are required to be tucked in at all times.

Uniforms are issued based on your Noble Eagle Number (NE #) and must be taken in its entirety to theater. DO NOT MAIL ANYTHING ISSUED HOME OR FORWARD TO THEATER. Upon redeployment, uniforms and combat equipment will be returned at Warrior Transition Program (WTP), Sembach, Germany. Items not returned will be billed to you for immediate payment.

Wear the Navy PTU with boots or regular-soled tennis shoes during the Organizational Clothing Individual Equipment (OCIE)/Ready for Issue (RFI) process, (aka gear issue). Do not wear “minimalist” footwear or flip-flops.

Navy PTUs are available at the PX MTC Shoppette, Camp McCrady, the Military Clothing Store (located in the Mini-Mall, BLDG 4172), Fort Jackson or Navy Exchange online, https://www.mynavyexchange.com.

Any OCIE/RFI gear lost during training require a Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL), DD Form 200 be completed. FLIPLs are handled by the Navy Supply LCPO. Without FLIPL documentation, the student will be held accountable and financially responsible for full reimbursement.

EMERGENCIES:

Family emergencies will be processed via the Chain of Command. Family members or Sailors must initiate an AMCROSS message via the American Red Cross, www.redcross.org. ARC handouts are in the LNO office.

Inform your Class Chain of Command about any potential “life changing” events that occur during training.

MCCRADY GYM (BLDG 3894):

Wear the Navy PTU or appropriate civilian PT attire.

For safety purposes, running/walking outside on-post at McCrady Training Center is ONLY authorized on the track.

CAMP MCCRADY ID CARD OFFICE (BLDG 3800): ID Card Lab: Tuesday/Friday, 0800-1200 & 1300-1530, BLDG 3800 *By Appointment Only – See LNO

To obtain an ID card, you must have two (2) valid forms of ID (i.e., Driver License, Military ID, Passport, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Voter’s Registration Card, DEERS/Rapids).

PAY ISSUES/TRAVEL CLAIMS:

While at NIACT- notify the LNO Admin IMMEDIATELY to work directly with ECRC HQ to resolve any pay issues. Depending on the pay issue, if not resolved prior to date of departure, member(s) will return to ECRC HQ until pay issues are resolved.

Travel claims are submitted to your follow-on PSD either in theater or at your next I-stop.

TRANSPORTATION WEEK:

Transportation and Admin briefs will be conducted following training during the 2nd week of training. Students will receive information on traveling to ULDUSTA, travel itineraries, original endorsed orders, a Letter of Responsibility, Weapon and Training Page 13s, and other information required for respective missions.

***NOTE: Travel arrangements from NIACT to the next location, are made based on the information in a members orders. Please provide any order modifications to LNO Admin staff.***

All users are required to sign-in to use the Computer Lab. Sign-in sheet is located on the podium inside the Computer Lab.

Login as you normally would on any CAC enabled computer.o Upon initial login, new users will get an error message. Users must login a 2nd time before being

granted access.

LIBERTY (Uncontrolled):

Off-post liberty is granted once released by class leadership (upon completion of training and weapons turn-in, etc.). Overnight liberty requires a Special Request Chit be routed via your Platoon Leader, Class Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) and approved by the Class Leader.

When liberty (Uncontrolled) is granted, the use of POVs, rental cars (at Sailor’s expense) or taxi cab (approved companies listed below) is authorized. Sailors must remain within a 100-mile radius limit of McCrady Training Center.

Per U.S. Navy Uniform Regulations Article 7101.2, proper civilian attire will be worn during authorized off-post liberty.

Students will be provided transportation to the Fort Jackson PX and church outside of training hours. See the half sheet for dates and times.

SUNDAY RETREAT:

Uniform: Civilian clothing or PTU allowed (bring swim suit and hiking shoes, if desired)

Transportation: Meet at McCrady Chapel at 1400 for transportation with return by 2000

Participants: Number of participants will vary and will be put out by Chaplain during Welcome Aboard Brief. Class leader(s) will have sign-up sheets.

The LNO office recommends ONLY FEDEX or UPS delivery, due to the remote location of the McCrady Training Center. Outgoing shipments (any carrier) are at the student’s expense.

Do not have mail delivered after the 2nd Wednesday of training . Mail sent after a student's departure will be returned to sender.

UPS Store is located at Fort Jackson PX. Hours are Monday – Friday, 0900-1800, Saturday, 0900-1600, Sunday, 1100-1500. The UPS Store provides some regular mail (USPS) services.

FEDEX forms are available at the Navy LNO office.

Official Mail is handled by Task Force Marshall and the LNO Admin office. Make and retain copies of correspondence sent via official mail.

WEAPONS:

In accordance with OPNAVINST 3591.1(Series), “No one shall participate in small arms training if they have consumed alcohol within the previous 12 hours.” Failure to comply may result in UCMJ action as determined by ECRC HQ, Norfolk VA.

Weapons Awareness Reinforcement (WAR) will be strictly followed. Sailors will have weapons in their possession at all times, including the DFAC. Authorized exceptions: MWR runs to Fort Jackson, authorized off-post liberty, shopette, head calls or porta-johns. Additionally, weapons are not authorized in the MTC Chapel, Troop Medical Clinic, McCrady Gym, or running track. In these situations, weapons must be turned over to a battle buddy or authorized weapons watchstander.

Prior to the commencement of liberty (Uncontrolled) by ANY student, ALL weapons will be secured in weapons racks under the security of assigned weapons watchstanders.

Weapons issued: M9 pistol and M4 rifle.
