The Crime and Criminal Tracking Networks and Systems

A project for creating a comprehensive and integrated system for effective

policing.

Includes integration of more than 15,000 police stations and over 8000

supervisory offices across the country,

Conceived in the year 2009 with a total approved outlay of Rs. 2000 Cr.

Sheet, court disposal and appeals, challans/registers)

3. Improving delivery of citizen-centric services through effective usage

2. Inter Operable Criminal Justice System ICJS

• National Data Search in all the States/UTs on Police, Courts, Prisons and ALIS

• Domain linkage in 5 States/UT (Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, UP and Telangana).

• Domain Linkage is in progress in 10 States.

• Domain linkage planned to be completed by 31.3.2020 in all the 36 States/UTs.

• Integration with Central agencies viz. CBI, NIA, NCB, RPF etc.

5. DATA ANALYTICS ON CCTNS DATA

• NCRB procured IBM Cognos Business Intelligence tool supplied to 30 States.

• States to procure required Servers under MPF Plan

• Powerful tool for generating dynamic reports and dashboards .

• Analytics can be enhanced by including calculations, defining filters, navigation

paths etc.

6. Capacity Building

• One of mandates of NCRB is to provide training in IT and Finger Print

Science for capacity building in the Police organizations in the country.

• Each year training Branch of NCRB conducts on an average 60 training

programs for Indian Police Officers.

• NCRB recently launched online National Cybercrime Training Centre (NCTC)


Aim: Capacity building focused on combatting cybercrimes, impact containment and investigations

Objectives: i. Focus on standardization of course curriculum. ii. Develop hands-on training modules for cybercrime detection,

containment and reporting using simulated cyber environments. iii. Development of MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). iv. Establish Cyber Lab

• e-Learning contents for Responder Track category of NCTC got developed and uploaded on CyTrain

• Pilot testing of MOOC platform done successfully; 96 officers [NCRB(30), States/UTs(66)] participated in

the Pilot testing

• Work Order worth Rs.7.14 Cr has been issued to C-DAC for setting up of Cyber Lab at NCRB for NCTC

under I4C.
